This shouldn't suprised me, really it shouldn't!

I mean have you read what is the next installment for the Scooby Doo special

Sam and Dean Winchester looked weird enough in the Supernatural anime.
Seeing them sketched out in the traditional Hanna-Barbera style just makes my spleen rupture.

To be fair at least it fits with the theme of Scooby Doo than Scooby Doo meets WWE and KISS :p

So, Mystery Inc. gets to encounter actual supernatural beings, and the protagonists of Supernatural get to encounter the proverbial Cerberus?

...seems legit.
Scooby Doo and his gang hae faced real supernatural things before:

Zombie and the Witch's Ghost are awesome.

...Freaking seriously? I'm getting sick of HB whoring out (for lack of a better term) their characters with endless straight-to-DVD fare.

Charlie and the Chocolate factory involves children befalling violent ends in creative ways. Sounds like a good match to Tom & Jerry.
No kidding. Especially considering the original draft apparently had the other kids dying in horrific manners ranging from being burned from the inside out to being ground into powder.

...You get the sense that Roald Dahl really did not like children, did he?

The series Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated had them facing actual supernatural beings. It also had a teenager getting executed with a machine gun, which might be one of the darkest things done across the entire franchise.

The animation looks pretty poor and their faces are truly terrifying =/
Still tho, it's a new tom and jerry so I'll probably see it.

I have the feeling the chicken being beheaded will be cut
but if they added it in as a slap-stick tom and jerry moment that would be cool.

Probably because we are seeing such an old art style in Hi Definition

Not really. Its more like they didn't do a great job with the animation in some areas, not because of HD.

Looks like everyone crying about poor Gene Wilder already forgot about the one they did they Jonny Depp lul
I liked that one, some stuff the newer one did better, some stuff the older one did better. They are two separate takes on the same idea, shoot at least the new version didn't butcher the moral and actually understood what the hell a 'scary' tunnel actually refereed to in context of the book.IIRC the songs in the later movie were also somewhat closer to the style of songs in the books (Not music wise, but lyric wise).
