Like everyone else, I thought that he was killing people and getting rid of the evidence by selling it to the customers or something. I agree, it was sickening what he was doing, but in my experience there is usually some indication that the meat was rotten.

Just because he was offering old meat for sale doesnt mean anyone was actually buying it or eating it. A building full of bad meat and stale pasta doesn't even register on most people's "eww" meters these days. It's not like we're talking vore here or anything.
