So I'm reading the Star Wars Omnibus of "Emissaries & Assassins" and I'm on the story where Ki-Adi-Mundi (Jedi with long head) has to find out if a certain Sand Person is a Jedi. Anyways to the confusing part, he's on a hover craft on Tatooine and he is betrayed by Jabba's men (there are people on the craft with him)

So in two panels he's wearing a cloak, a mask and goggles (goggles to protect his eyes from the sand storm and mask for oxygen maybe) and nothing else, the next panel he has a hat on (where did he find time to put a hat on while he was jumping over the attackers) the next panel the hate is gone.

In the next panel there is no cloak, no mask, and no goggles....and his hat is back, HOW THE FUCK DOES THAT WORK, please someone explain this to me.

Maybe your reading the panels in the wrong order? Or the artist just doesn't care?

Sounds like a job for Linkara....

Anyway, All it probably was was sloppy drawing and editing.

It's a comic - they draw what they want and *gasp* it doesn't automatic follow laws on continuity! So yeah, sloppy editing/story boarding.

Well thats what Im thinking, I feel like the comic book (like the whole thing) is missing a few pages or something

Well most comics I've read in my life followed the proper "continuity" and didn't fudge up (at least not this badly)

Star Wars comics have always been pretty nonsensical.
I read one about General Grevious, the whole issue was these kids tryng and failing to move a door with the force. BORING.

This reminds me of the time me and my Dad won a no-prize in a marvel comic. Any marvel fan worth his salt will know what a no-prize is, and if not, shame on you!

I don't think I read many Marvel comics and if I do then it must be my short-term memory loss flaring up because I have no idea what a no-prize is....other then not getting a prize...

Yeah, but that does depend on the artist noticing/caring about those sort of continuity errors and an editor who's not blind ;)

Indeed. Boring, poorly made, and they break canon at every turn. I read on that had Luke Skywalker crushing Super Star Destroyers in less than three panels with ease, all the while moaning about the limits of the force.

Basically, a no-prize is awarded to a reader who can spot a discrepancy in the comic (such as the situation described in the OP), but also come up with an explanation for why this is possible in the world of the comic. It's called a no-prize because your prize for such an act is... well nothing. Other than getting your name printed and attaining the title of TTB (titanic true believer) for getting the no prize, and QNS (quite 'nuff sayer) for getting a letter printed.

You know, I've only just twigged that that was Grant Morrison's inspiration for "No-girl" in New X-men. She was a conceptual entity whose mutant power was that she didn't exist. Man, I'm *still* spotting new barmy ideas in that comic each time I re-read it.
