has anybody else noticed that really REALLY old news threads are being revived for no reason? this is really bugging me and people are posting on it as if it was new... why is this happening?
EDIT: people are geting angry at me saying things about using the search bar but I said NEWS threads you can't just make a topic in NEWS threads! and why would they wanna post year old news? read closer please... I suppose I just wanted to vent my anger since I tried letting it pass but people keep doing it out of nowhere...

It's been a slow few days for news?

Perhaps they're using the search bar and finding a threads already been done and are contributing.

My science, I swear a pig just flew past my window.

You know what annoys me?

Stimuli that don't invoke a feeling of euphoria or pleasure on any measurable level.

Indeed I'd go as far to say that any stimuli with a persistent negative response at the chemical level is annoying.

Great, another complaint thread.
I am going to start a thread complaining about threads that complain about something.

OT- No, not really, they want to add their comment to the thread, and they are perfectly in their right to do it. I see nothing wrong with it.

I do not know. I doubt anyone else does either, much less cares. Why not just let it pass, instead of making a whiney thread that will go no-where?

Just a suggestion.

If you have nothing constructive to say...

OT: Why dont threads auto-lock after a month of inactivity... no necro!
It doesn't strike me as a particularly deep topic. Old threads are being revived. So....? Not the most constructive thread.

Listen.

I'm sick of this.

First, certain members of the community berate people for not using the search bar, to the point where every single thread has an (exceedingly annoying) "I USED THE SEARCH BAR" disclaimer.

Now, you berate people for USING THE SEARCH BAR and posting in existing threads rather than starting new ones?

What.

The.

HELL.

YOU GET ONE OR THE OTHER, NOT BOTH.

I'm kinda with you. I come from forums where it is considered better etiquette to make a new OP than to necropost on an old thread with 10 pages. I guess maybe the Escapist prefers necroposting because they don't delete their old threads, so redundancies are irritating to see. I really don't know.

Does it really bother you that much? I mean, your thread showed up on the latest posts, so they're not muscling you out of the business.
Hah, this is exactly what I was going to say. Same wording and everything.
