**For anyone not interested in an interesting backstory, just skip to the last line.**
Okay, so I got back into Pookemon cards a few days ago with my girlfriend. We were just hanging about at our local shopping centre and we were really bored so we jokingly bought some fake pokemon card packs for $2 each and had some casual but fun battles.
Anyway, we've really gotten into it again, so I got out my old, old, old pokemon deck from way back in primary school and I started checking out some of the values of my cards on the internet.
I was aghast to find that my small prize deck of about 30 or so cards came in at a whopping $129 AUD!
As you can imagine, I was just astounded, since some of my cards are error cards that I had no idea had huge prices on their heads, on top of my prize cards, like my Base Set shiny Charizard, which came in at about 8 bucks alone.
Some of my rare cards include:
My shiny Jungle set error Flareon = $12 (At the front of my first booster pack ever)
Shiny Jungle set error Scyther = $11.50
Shiny Jungle set error Pidgeot = $7 (Found at the back of my first booster pack)
Shiny Base set Charizard = $8
Shiny Base set Blastoise = $5
Shiny Base set Venusaur = $5
the list goes on.
So Escapists, have you ever found anything just hanging about in your house that's worth some insane about of money? What was it? And did you sell it?
