This Isn't What I Ordered...

Well this doesn't happen too many times, but it happens. There will be times that I order a chicken (or some other meat) sandwich with ketchup and mayonnaise from a fastfood and because of the noise from other customers as well as the cooking they will mistake it as mustard and I hate mustard. And yet, I almost never take it back and I try instead to bear with it. Yeah strange (one could say stupid) I know.

I ordered at wendys once, I ordered a double classic combo, only ketchup and mustard with a frosty, my friend is with me, when I get my order, I have the order, but a chicken sandwich too, and they charged me for it as well, I wasn't happy but I paid debit and the lady was old so I felt bad, my friend heard my order and we both agreed that I didn't order it, I havn't been there since.

at mcdonalds i always and i do mean always get fries with what i order, whether i ask for them or not but for somereason i dont get charged for them

The worst resturant, in my experience, is Whataburger - a fast food chain mostly located in the southwestern part of the country. Thanks to a lax policy on employee behavior (i.e. most of the people who work there do so because they do not have a mandatory drug test) and the fact that they are one of only a handful of resturants open 24-hours a day, you get some world class terrible service.

While I have gotten the correct thing from time to time, on average if your order is more complex than combo number, drink they will get it wrong. You're best served by arriving and asking for a bag of food and then noting how much you'd like to pay. You probably won't get what you want, but at least you saved yourself the time of making a complex order only to meet the same end.

I went to McDonald's again and got a quarterpunder with cheeze.

THEY GOT IT RIGHT *gasp*

In fact, not only did they get it right, it was exceptional. The patty tasted better (literally) than any other burger I've ever had at McDonalds. It was the best burger I've ever had from them. It really tasted like grilled, pure beef.

I doubt that'll ever happen again...

Oh all the time. I have a couple of allergies which require me to constantly put in special orders wherever i go, and it gets botched at least 50% of the time.

The funniest recent incident: a guy was leaving our office at work, so our whole team took him out for lunch on his last day. There were about 12 of us who wound up at this little chinese place.

Admittedly, it was a busy lunch hour, but we all put our orders in, and then we waited.. a full hour went by, and nothing. Another 15 minutes, and FINALLY we said something.. Turned out they had accidentally prepared our's "To Go", and it had been sitting on a counter for the past hour getting cold.

One of the members of our group was asian, and he absolutely went off on the waitress in chinese.

Then when our food came out, one of the girls had asked for a specific dish and that it "not be spicy".. They misunderstood and made it SUPER spicy.. She started bawling her eyes out after one mouthful, it was so hot.

Fun day, that one.

I think the most disappointed I've ever been at a restaraunt screw-up was one time when Pizza Hut messed up on us. My family used to always have pizza on Saturdays, and my usual was a medium pan (or hand-tossed, when they had it) with pepperoni. One time they gave me thin crust instead. I HATED thin crust at the time, and it really brought me down because Saturday pizza was something I'd look forward to all week.

I invite you to try a McDonald's up here in Canada sometime. While McDonald's anywhere isn't great food, it so much better here. And before anyone asks, yes. I have eaten there in the US. Multiple times at different locations. It's just better here for some reason.

OT: I've gotten the wrong food, had food forgotten that I paid for, gotten too much food, etcetera, but I think the worst was at a Kelsey's up in Vaughan. The dude took our order (four of us), left for about 10-15 minutes and then came back asking me (no one else) what I ordered. How long does it take to realize that you forgot what I ordered? If he had come back right away, obviously I would've understood but 10-15 minutes? I think we all got free drinks or something... And other than that he was a decent server.

I work in a restaurant called Just Fresh, where we make a shitload of different sandwiches, burgers, and salads. I decided to have some lunch one day, and I made it myself, but I forgot the tomatoes.

I messed up my own order...
