You turn on the television on a cold, rainy day to see a slightly gloomy newsman. You know this can be no good, he announces the title story. "Elvis is dead."

Now lets say said occurrence happened to a famous Musician/Actor/etc you really respect and who you will be sad to see die. Who would it be and why would you be sad of his/her death?

I would cry hard when Dave Mustaine dies. The man is bloody amazing and creates even more amazing music. His death would just strike me somewhere and would make me baw for a few weeks.

EDIT: Shit, I forgot, big thanks to Asturiel for helping me out with this thread.

I'll be very sad when Marco Hietala dies. To me, he is the voice of metal right now.

I'd be sad, because there would be no more awesome Marco screams, and Nightwish/Tarot would never be the same.

Between Wayne Static and Spellgoth. They both have irreplaceable voices for my two favorite bands.

Probably Paul McCartney, Ringo, Sam Worthington, Zoey Saldana, Robert Downey Jr., and James Cameron.

They are all great entertainers.

Claudio Sanchez or Hayley Williams.

I would absolutely bawl.
Hayley because she is way too young to die. As well as having to see someone as talented and as beautiful as that pass away. (I consider her the most attractive female I have ever seen)

Claudio because he is the genius behind Coheed and Cambria. Without him, none of their music would be as good as it is. He may not be liked by the majority, but that man has talent out the ass. How many musicians can play guitar and sing as well as he can, while still finding time to create an entire universe to write songs about. Also, he has written one novel so far that has been published, as well as two graphic novel series. The man has talent. There is absolutely no denying that. It will kill me to see him go.

I'd cry if the Jonas Brothers keeled over.

Mind you it'd be because I was laughing too hard at Disney as to how fucked they would be.

Copy right.

OT: If Johnny Deep or Jack Black died I would be sad. They have both genuinely entertained me over the years and it would be a shame for my copies of pirates of the Caribbean and School of Rock to be the only forms I that I have them in with no new ones to come.

If Miyavi died, I would probably become severely depressed for at least a couple of months. When I would go through any hard times, I felt like his music was the only thing keeping me going. I know it sounds corny, but that's how it is. If he died... Okay, I'm getting all mopey just thinking about it. Excuse me, I'm going off to my happy place now.

I won't really feel much, since Bon Jovi stopped making good songs after the 90's. But a tear may fall from my eye.

Well, when I heard that Ronnie James Dio was diagnosed with stomac cancer I looked up and yelled "Nnnnooooooooo!!!", but I heard that he's recovering pretty well.

And of course, Rob Halford's death will be soul-crushing.

P.S. Does anyone else remember when Evel Knievel died? It seems like that passed over without much notice.

Probably Mick Jagger. The old fucker's almost depressing to watch on stage at this point, but he's still a living legend, you know?

I would go mental if Geddy Lee died, or for that matter, any member of Rush.

He is probably the one person who got me into playing bass.

Mine just died 3 days after Christmas this past year... (Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan). But if I have to pick someone that is still alive, it would be M. Shadows (from same band), his vocals are the most interesting and very skillful compared to other bands in their genre.

I dropped a doughnut I was holding when I heard that George Carlin had died. I still ate the doughnut. I can't really think of any other celebrity who's death would upset me.

Harrison Ford.

I will actually cry the day i hear he kicks the bucket.

I know someone is going to try and kick my ass for saying this but i really really do respect his work. He is a good actor and one of the only characters to avoid being shoe horned into the Prequel trilogy of star wars. He has done some bad films but still. He is a great actor.

Ron Perlman, or Keith David.

Two awesome voice actors. They will be missed.

James Earl Jones too.
