Welcome to TIEM Magazine's September publication of This Month In Forums! Where Escapist users like you submit the best posts and users to be honored in our monthly publication.

If last month were a monsoon, this month would be a heavy rain. While there were plenty of submissions for Thread of the Month, we were unfortunately struck with a dry spell for Poster of the Month. With no submissions submitted to the category we were forced to create a new policy among the TMIF Council stating what to do in such an eventuality.

Please remember these publications live and die by the hands of the community, and if none are willing to contribute, we cannot continue such a project.

For those of you who have stayed up to date with gaming news, you probably are aware of the rather uncalled for anti-video games law attempting to be passed down through the American legislative system.

In light of a News Room thread which brought to light the recent release of poll figures by Common Sense Media which stated 72% of adults support anti-video game laws, many users flocked to the thread to express their opinions and dismay. Eventually TMIF veteran [user]Therumancer[/user] stepped up in the 18th to say "O RLY [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/7.232098-72-Percent-of-Adults-Support-California-Game-Law-UPDATED?page=19#8219928]" in his usual manner.

[HEADING=3]-Thread of the Month[/HEADING]

Since its release on August 14th Halo Reach has caused quite a stir among the Escapist community, with many either praising or hating it with a very select few in the middle ground.

However prior to it release there was an abundance of both positive and negative speculation, with very polarized opinions and speculations on what Reach would be like. Well on September 4th, [user]Shock and Awe[/user] chose to do neither, and instead of focusing on Reach, made a thread titled A Final Salute to the Halo Franchise! [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.230314-A-Final-Salue-to-the-Halo-Franchise], where they looked back upon Reach's predecessors and shared their fond memories and faithful goodbyes to a franchise which meant so much to so many.

[HEADING=3]-Review of the Month by [user]Irridium[/user][/HEADING]

[user]Timotei[/user] is known for her interesting and lengthy threads/posts/reviews/silly hats. In this installment of Review In The Shower - Halo: Reach [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.232399-Reviews-In-The-Shower-Games-Halo-Reach], she reviews, well, Halo Reach, which happens to be Bungie's final Halo game. In this review posted on the 14th of September, a day most of you probably don't remember (including me), she tells you why you should go buy Halo Reach. Right now (after you read this publication and comment on it of course).

Unfortunately This Month In Forums fell short in the field of Poster of the Month, with its respective councilor [user]Grayjack[/user] receiving nothing in the way of submissions.

In light of this, our winner from last month, [user]Gildan Bladeborn[/user], still stands as Poster of the Month.
