I have played neither but considering my lack of PS3 and possession of a PC I'll say Bioshock Infinite, as I stand a chance of playing it some day.

Which is a better franchise: Metroid Prime or Legend of Zelda?

Metroid Prime - Prime is a nice neat trilogy rather than the whole sprawling load of Zelda games. If you'd said Metroid or Zelda then.. tough call. Zelda arguably hasn't been abused as much as Metroid but it has also been spread thinner.
