I concur. I normally find this site to be rather moderate in many things but either people here are being facetiously hyperbolic and we are not picking up on it or they just got old and cranky; getting their nuts/ovaries in a twist. I honestly haven no problem with just about any hairstyle, even the ones being bitched about in this thread are actually pretty nice looking. I just cannot divine why anyone would have any problem with them.

I was actually going to mention this one myself.

There is actually a good reason why many find it offputting. It makes the person look sickly, even though it isn't you subconsciously feel as if there hair has fallen out in patches.

I dunno, I once met a guy at a goth club who was wearing a literal cage on his head and had a bunch of "satanic" tats done. Turned out to be a real nice guy.

Anyway, actions speak louder and more accurately than appearances. I see someone with a haircut or fashion choices normally associated with being a douche, then sure there's a negative kneejerk reaction, but hey, I don't know them and they could be the nicest person in the world for all I know, so why make a fuss?

But I see people mocking other people because of said haircuts and outfits and calling them douches, then I feel pretty confident in going, "Okay, those first guys make look like douches, but those guys over there making fun of them? They actually are douches."

Hell, I've gotten a bit of that myself. I mean, I usually wear a fedora, have done so for nearly a decade. Why? Because I'm a huge Undertaker fan, and when he made his big return to his Deadman gimmick back in '04, I thought it was the coolest thing ever and wanted a hat like his, got one for Christmas, and it worked, so I've been wearing one ever since. But thanks to some silly internet stereotype, I'm sure there's been plenty of people who thought I was some entitled chauvinistic "nice guy" and/or a pretentious anti-theist or something like that, just because of my hat. I've been told as much on this site no less. They were wrong, but that's what stereotyping does.

Point is, looking like a douche is subjective, but acting like one is not. Dress how you want, but don't act like a douche.

I think they just grabbed that hairstyle off of Google Image search. They weren't targeting her per say just her hairstyle. Which is still dumb as fuck and gives me the instinct or "never speak to this person, they're too crazy even for you".

I just meant gross as in unpleasant. If I meant gross as gross, that goes to dreadlocks. Hair that, regardless if you like it or not, is objectively gross.
