I'm with the majority I think.

Sure guys, wear handbags, scarves, heels and skirts, but they're not man anything. They're just what they are, adding 'man-' doesn't fool anyone.

No-one has seen anyone women wearing 'femtrousers' right?

Well, this is just straight up bloody ridiculous.

So, in the spirit of historic revisionism metasocioengineering (I love words like that, you can use them anywhere and no one will try to question it, it's like the intellectual equivalent of "promoting synergy"!)

Mandals: A Germanic tribe that unsuccessfully colonized what is now South Africa. Their entire tribe was wiped out when the now extinct South Africa Walrus (which they considered a deity) was afflicted by a rare strain of rabies, and developed an insatiable hunger for human flesh.

Murse: Slang for vampire. Believed to be coined from the Finnish "Mursu" (Walrus), due to the elongated fangs of these insidious creatures being mistaken for the tusks of the magnificent Walrus. (indeed, many Scandinavian monster hunters still mistake vampires for werewalruses, even in these modern times)

Mewlery: A juvenile quisling.

Meggings: The fragments of a roast dinner that inevitably get stuck to the bottom of the tin.

Marfists: (singular "Marfist") Followers of the religion of Marfology, the ritualistic worship of the now extinct South African Walrus.

Mantyhose: A firehose of exactly 4.5m length. Used mainly aboard merchant submarines.

Manties: Mispronunciation of "Manatees".

Mirts: From the acronym "Multiple Independent Re-entry Trowel". Generally considered the apex of atomic age gardening tools.

Meels: A portmanteau for "meals on wheels".

Now, go forth my minions to Urbandictionary! Spread the word! D=
Hey don't be dissrespecting our dead walrus!

...um...moobs?
Anyway, some of these are just wrong. I'm not one to oppose remarks that I lack masculinity but...man pantyhose? But pantyhose is a woman's clothing!!!!!
Seriously, I don't mind these things, I simply can't stand 1) the people who come up with it and 2) the people who actually think it's a good idea and use it all the time.

Brilliant! I'm going to start using that.

I have nothing to add but my distaste.

I've noticed the steady feminizing of the poor defenceless bloke.
It's like it's a crime to be manly ( and I don't mean in an unwashed Viking kind of way ).

Men should not wear makeup.. we should not spend hours preening and choosing the best handbag to match our high heels before we go out.. Who is this for? Is it to attract women? Seriously?

I appreciate that a lot of women are attracted to pretty things, but most women are attracted to Men ( apart from the ones who like women ).

Now that's been said, I'm now taking a bottle of bleach to my brain to remove the stains.

Sandals are sandals. Skirts are skirts. You don't call pants Woman pants just because they were traditionally a male thing to wear. It's ridiculous. Now I think people should be allowed to wear whatever, no matter what their gender is. Giving it another name because it's on a person of a different gender is stupid.

I'll be honest, when I saw 'mewlery' I thought cats. Not even really jewelry for cats or anything, I just assumed it was feline-related rather than to do with bling.

All the others are just really lazy euphemisms for unsold, rebranded crap being marketed to a new audience.

No, just no

Woman's jeans/pants are specifically designed with women in mind
That emo boys choose to wear those pants from time to time and then turn to call them skinnies for example is something completely different.

While I agree that the words are stupid as fuck, I disagree with the notion that there are clothes that a dude can't wear because then suddenly he's not a MAN anymore.

If you're so unsure of your own gender that you need to use CLOTHING to establish it, maybe it's time to get some therapy.
Juuuuust sayin'.

What the FAWK? Just admit it that you are gay and be done with it! There is no need to... wha... GAH! I can't even comment correctly on this, my brain is full of fuck!

Also, why not call them kilts? Oh I know, because kilts are actually for MEN. Although on reflection, who is it to say what we can and can't wear. My problem with this is how they present it. Like calling it a murse will make you into something other than a MAN with a PURSE. Either admit it or gtfo.

And not just with the "mirts," or "mankini," and the dreaded "man-bag" but the retarted combination of words. Like "staycation." Its not a stay at home vacation. It means your fuckin broke. That garbage is worse than everything having to be "PC" (politically correct for those of you who might not know)
I cracked up a little bit at this one. Ah yes, the "staycation" - the new sign of our economic times. A trendy way to announce that you have time off work but no money to leave your shitty little hometown.

:)

In all honesty, I have taken purposeful "stay at home" vacations with my wife before, but that's mainly because we hate traveling. It's usually just time off together where you go out to eat 2-3 meals out of the day and drink too much.

Which is shockingly like my "vacations" when I leave home, except I'm on the beach. :D
You know, what bugs me about that term is, when it was first introduced, the local media was using it to describe not just stay at home vacations, but any vacation taken in one's home state. Which, I'm sorry, but how freakin' rich do you have to be to live in one of the vacation destination states for the entire world, and to be able to regularly say "oh, I don't feel like the beach/the woods/Universal Studios/Disneyland this year, let's go to Monte Carlo," let alone for it to be such a matter of course that doing any one of the four things I listed is considered a down-grade from what you normally do?

Other than that, words don't really bother me, although that picture of a man who isn't Tim Curry but is wearing panty hose isn't exactly what I wanted to see first thing in the morning. I think I need to go to a midnight showing of Rocky Horror to get the image out of my mind.

What!!! Someone dares to enjoy a fashion sense that I expressive hate being stuck in a 19 century view on gender roles and the way they should dress!? Clearly this shit must stop, because how dare men choose to dress different!
Because of how bored I am, i'm gonna pretend I didn't see the joking part of that because I have a point to make regarding it and I can't be arsed to go through the thread to find someone who's actually said that, so person I quoted, stop reading here if you want, you're not missing anything.

But isn't it funny that every time someone complains about a man looking like an idiot in woman's clothing, somebody comes out and calls the person close minded because of it. Why can't we point out that if you wear a skirt in public and you are a man, you look like a twat because it makes you look like that, not because you're wearing a skirt.

And no. Men should never wear pantyhose. Fuck that shit. MY EYES ARE SCARRED YOU DAMN ESCAPISTS :D.

Ill give you a run down of the worst for those that dont feel like rotting their brain by clicking on the link.

And feel free to post your own most hated word combinations.

Mandals = Man sandals
Murse = Man purse
Mewlery = Man jewlery
Meggings = Man leggins
Marfists = Man scarfs
Mantyhose = Man pantyhose
Manties = Man panties
Mirts = Man skirts
Meels = Man heels
I blame the society, as always.

Out of that entire list, the only thing I have ever heard of was a Murse. And even then I thought that was just a male nurse.
I'm pretty sure that a murse is a male nurse, which is a perfect example of the morons in this fashion shit making up words and declaring 'these are parts of our language now, it is so'. Also...
