for some reason when ever i browse to this site my Avast jumps up saying this site has a trojan in it. http://i319.photobucket.com/albums/mm464/arch_wiccan/virus.png Before i got avast my google chrome was saying that this site might be harmful to my computer. For some odd reason it only does this on my laptop not on my other computer. That makes me worried. Any one else having these issues and can any big important people of the site maybe look into this?

I keep getting a problem like that. Sometimes my virus software flags the site as unsafe, other times it just force-closes the window. Only this site does it...

Nah never happened to me. You might need to get some other program. This sight is a public place, it shouldn't be that bad

I don't think that's your documents, I think it's a re-direct. I get that too sometimes, but my machine is, and always will be, clean.

The closest thing I ever gotten somthing nasty from this site was just a threat which AVG block. It was last Wednesday and the site didn't fully load up (I assume it was heavy traffic cos of new ZP) so I try IE and then a threat pop up.

Its an issue with Chrome. I've had that happen a few times(only instead of that Chrome blocks the page because of alienradar.ru or something like that)

Or this may be a new problem. I don't know. You should probably let The Tech Team [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Tech-Team] know about it.

I sometimes get that redirecting virus where it pretends it's a virus scanner finding shit and then enters your computer when you click on it. Not sure what causes that though.

Avast is ridiculously over-sensitive and this site has quite a few scripts running, so go figure.
Shouldn't be anything to worry about.

I (and a few friends of mine) have had some problems where the site redirects to fake virus scan, says you're infected then demands you download something.

When Malwarebytes was run it was several hijackers... for each computer...

Odd.

I can't say that this has ever happened to me. Strange.... I would do as another person suggested and talk to one of the techteam guys, they might be able to help you out.

Confirmed. I just had this happen about half an hour ago (with the fake virus scan and the download demand). I shut it all down, did a sweep of my system (with my ACTUAL scanner), which came back clean. It looks quite convincing. You guys definitely have a malware issue on this site. Perhaps it might be coming from one of the ads (which is why it only pops up occassionally?).

Well, I've never seen it but we have like, 3-4 users confirming this in some way. :/

I had something similar to this.
When I came to the site this morning, a pop-up appeared, saying Microsoft Security needed to do a scan or something.
I immediately restarted the computer after I noticed a misspelled word and a few extra spaces. Idiots.
I don't know what would cause it though. It probably has to do with one of the ads.

On topic, I have never had any such problem, do we know if it's being looked into at all?

It's probably the loading ads. Nothing is harmful. There are just some scripts running. I have Kaspersky and didn't get noticed once.

Horsecrap. It's trying to get you to download a "fix" for the fake viruses it just "found", and if you've seen it, it does appear to be quite real. It looks *extrememly* dangerous. Somebody is going to click on that download link thinking they need to fix their computer, and get into all sorts of grief. This needs to be removed very quickly, not dismissed as harmless.
