Looks like it could be cool. Thor is pretty badass and I am looking forward to a new Avengers movie.

Whereas I'm unfamiliar with the comic books I know enough of the baddass mythology to know the film will be varying shades of baddass.

Arthur Dent is the one who asked Thor if he'd like to, "Make something out of it?", then asked him to step outside. They were in a giant flying party. Thor fell.

Yeah, you'd have to read the Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Trilogy of Four version to get what I'm saying. I'd snap to it.

Yep. That is definitly a picture........okay....anything else we should be doing? You can't judge how a movie is going to be based on a single photo.

Well, as far as the costume goes, it looks awesome. I'm glad that they didn't try and do the "classic" look.

This guy is looking pretty close to Thor. As for Chris Evans as Cap...yeah...I too would like to see him don the stars and stripes suit with the shield.

I'll agree with the "costume looks kinda cheap" view. At least in this shot. Are we supposed to discuss something here?

Looks just like a friend of mine, except the outfit.

Curious how they'll pull off a Norse god super hero.

I don't like Thor, the superhero.

And I like the way they pictured him even less... That shoulder plate thing look SO CHEAP.

I always saw it as really lazy to steal some culture's god and fuck around with it and twist the whole mythology.

Gee, no self respecting nerd/geek/similar generic stereotype would ever read the Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy! Nope, never! /sarcasm

The biggest problem with Superhero films is trying to avoid the costumes looking stupid and they have managed to avoid that here (though it does look a bit cheap). I'm not looking foward to Cap though as I honestly can't imagine how they would make him look anything but stupid.

I've never read Thor as the comics didn't really transfer over to Britain until very recently. However, I really want this film to be good as I would love Marvels plan of a number of movies referencing each other to work and so far the 2 Iron Man films and the Incredible Hulk have been well worth watching. Now all they need to do is arm wrestle the rights to their other properties back off Fox.

Interesting. I was hoping they'd be moving the costume more towards the Ultimates, but it's not bad. It seems to be mostly based on the newer takes on the classic version, but minus the helmet and including the beard (if the image represents the typical look of the movie, and not just one scene.)

I believe the Cap is just America's way of saying "We have bigger balls than anyone else!"
I kid. I would LOVE to see a Captain America movie.
But for now I will be content with watching a Thor movie. I hope they don't mess it up.

Ha, beat me to it. This seems pretty much spot on, their defo going for a mix of the two costumes, though personally, I would have preferred a straight up "The Ultimates" Thor.
