RRH: Wolf replaced by psycho sadistic lesbian called Luna. Red is a goth. Luna seduces her then murders her grandmother. Red responds by chopping up Luna into tiny pieces and burning them on a fire. Red gets carted off at end to loony bin by police.
For some reason when you said Luna murdered Red's grandmother I thought you meant cannibalize. Made for an interesting visual and me imagining Luna still eating when Red got to the house.
H&G: ... Along the way they meet a kind woman (the 'witch') who Gretel subsequently murders so the siblings can take her food and use her house as shelter.
I imagined Gretel waiting for the witch to turn around and then jumping up behind her and breaking her neck. For some reason she had a solid snake bandanna.

OP: I had an idea for a story, but then I remembered I suck at writing. Here's the premise anyway. The typically isolationist nerd finds a portal to another world in his attic. Unfortunately, instead of being some big hero there he's still just a weak, scared nerd. No one knows who he is or is willing to help him. He's not there because of some prophecy. He just ended up there by accident. He walks through the strange world and experiences all kinds of strange and horrible creatures. As you would expect, he is killed in less than 2 hours. Instead of just dieing and that being the end, he wakes up in the same spot that he entered the world to try again. There would definitely have to be a scene where he finds his corpse(s). I've never quite flushed out how it would end in my head. I think the only conclusion I could come to is that he goes insane. Of course, if that would happen the last scene would have to be set in the real world with him stuck in a straitjacket in a white room. Slowly he would rock back and fourth talking to himself. I know that's cliche, but it's a requirement.

It was just kind of a passing joke at first, but I kept coming back to it and it turned into that. I'm sure someone else has already thought of it though.

My "rice" theory which somehow managed to prove the concept of religion neutral, or beige as it were. I won't go into details here - they're onto me!

You know what 'those' ideas are. They are the ideas that start off as nothing more than a whim, a flight of fancy. Then, you think about them some more. They start to make more sense, and soon they become all-consuming wells of consciousness that devour every second in their pure brilliance...
A few years ago a friend of mine suggested that I make a comic strip for a competition he was entering with his comic [http://www.stevebob.com].

The character I eventually came up with is now just about the only thing I can draw, and I've come up with a massive storyline that could fill perhaps three novels. I'm being constantly pestered to either write or draw this story out because people actually think it's interesting...

But, effort.

Wait -- what was I talking about again? Oh yes, ideas. Post some of these crazy ideas that may make more sense than they first appeared. I'll get the ball rolling:
1) If I jumped off the Eiffel Tower, and there was nothing to break my fall but a very large foam pit, I would survive. True, or false?
Maybe not a foam pit, but this Irish guy jumped into a pool at the bottom from the top of the tower about 60 years ago.
