So, The Last of Us is officially out, and the reviews are pretty much what everyone expected: really good. Now, as so many of us are painfully aware, if you don't have a PS3, and don't have the material wealth to buy one right now, we're in for a bit of a wait (specifically, until we can find a heavily discounted PS3 once the PS4 launches) if we want to give this game a shot.

I'm here to ask a simple question of all who are in the same boat as I (and from the looks of things, there appear to be an awful lot of people in this boat)... Is there anything in particular that you will be doing while the PS3 owners enjoy their new release?

Perhaps nothing will change, and you will continue on your merry way without a care in the world. Or maybe it will all be too much, and you'll seek solace at the bottom of a bottle (hey, it could happen). Personally, I'll be expending most of my mental energy trying not to think about the game (for the next few weeks) and being damn sure I don't risk stumbling onto any spoilers (for a good while longer).

You could always sit back and play a nice relaxing game of Journey. Bask in those beautiful visuals, luxuriate in that glorious music, enjoying the charming and seamless multiplayer.

OH WAIT!

Well, I guess you can always play the superlative and all-round excellent Halo 4.

I'm a PS3 owner, but I don't have the money for The Last Of Us right now so I'm in the same boat really.

If you were to trip and fall into a giant blender right now, I can't promise that I'd pull you out.

Just sayin'.

Well, I'm planning to get PS3 now. I wanted to do it for a long time, but The Last of Us was The Last Straw... of us...
Anyway, even if I weren't planning to buy PS3 I would still have enough games to keep me entertained on PC and Vita.

So it's good huh? Maybe I should go out and buy it when I have $60 to spend.
...because I have a PS3.

If I didn't have a PS3, I'd most likely continue to enjoy Fire Emblem Awakening,
which is a Nintendo exclusive, and a fantastic game.

It's out? Huh, normally in the UK it comes out the same week, but on a Friday instead of a Tuesday. It's not out until Friday the 14th over here. Guess I will need to keep a careful lookout for spoilers.

I actually have a PS3, but only a couple of exclusives, so it makes me feel glad I bought one, seeing as it's pretty much the only game I actually want to play that's being released before Autumn.

Bloody addictive too... I have started my third play-through, even though I did a "perfect" one last time. I am now trying it on hard difficulty with classic mode and am struggling.

I'm on my 3rd playthrough of Fire Emblem >.>

I'm not meta gaming this time and I still managed to break it halfway through XD

OT: I may get it on the PS4... though I probably won't be getting a PS4 at launch, sooooo...

I gave up on Classic Mode early on due to some BS enemy crits. Honestly, the game's only really difficult early on (in Hard mode, anyway) and once you make it past the first major hump your units generally stop dying. If you'd just end up reloading battles when units died (like I would), playing on Casual saves a lot of time more than anything else.

It's soooo easy to break that game. Galeforce passed down to Morgan, reclass to Bow Knight, learn bow breaker, Reclass to Wyvern Lord, kill everything.

For added benefit reclass to War Cleric, learn Renewal, Reclass to Dark Rider, learn Life Taker.
Ignis, Sol, Luna and all the others are just icing on the murder cake.

OT: I may get it on the PS4... though I probably won't be getting a PS4 at launch, sooooo...
They apparently won't be backward compatible at launch anyway, so you can afford to wait.
Although IMO, early caveman versions of Sony systems are always better than the later versions.

My friend had a PS2 slim and couldn't play a scratched version of Shadow of the Colossus, but I could play the same disc on my fat caveman PS2 without problems.

Early versions of PS3 were fully backward compatible (PS1, PS2), The version after that (the 80 gig) had "limited backward compatibility", The newest versions don't have it at all.

Yeah, Galeforce is gamebreaking in of itself. The devs must have been out of their minds. In my second playthrough I had four characters with it >.>

Pairing characters with Galeforce is pretty funny as well.

Step 1- Move and 1st unit attacks
Step 2- Kill enemy and proc Galeforce
Step 3- Move and 2nd unit attacks
Step 4- Kill enemy and proc Galeforce
Step 5- Move and 1st/2nd unit attacks
Step 6- Kill unit and you now have a super OP murder team 18-30 squares behind enemy lines.

Works best if one of them has Astra and Vantage + High Crit chance ;)

If you want to make galeforce even more broken, have Oliva re-classed to Dark Flier, learn galeforce, re-class to assassin, learn lethality, and any other skills/ classes that will help her kill things, re-class back to dancer (now with galeforce).

In battle, use a high powered character with galeforce (we'll say Morgan), kill something, proc galeforce, kill something again.

Have Oliva kill something, proc galeforce, dance Morgan, have Morgan kill something a third time.

Edit: Okay no more... back to topic.

Yeah, same here. No income and no money atm. It sucks, because I really wanted to play that new game. It looks really good.

Sessler gave it a glowing review over at Rev3Games. That pretty much solidified my desire to purchase this game as soon as it is released.
