Those little things...

Does anyone else out there like to enjoy those little things in life, those small details? It may be the familiar whine of the plumbing or the satisfying click and hum as the tv is switched on. Maybe you find that particular stain on the wall, beside your lamp, particularly interesting. If so, let's hear about it.

And if you're wondering why; it's 'cos I feel like starting a thread about those small pleasures in life.

Little things? Anything that makes me happy is automaticly large thing. The only things I would consider little are the things that I feel nothing towards. And the things I feel nothing towards aren't worth remembering.

Well I suppose I do enjoy the low, steady hum of my computer, and the not so low but hopefully somewhat steady hum of my 360.

Though more seriously I enjoy the sight of my books lined up all nice and orderly in my bookcase. Same thing with all my games. I like to keep things organized.

The satisfaction of completing a tricky maths problem whilst smelling freshly cut grass, wearing a hat and watching LotR, all the while eating tons of bacon and listening to Radiohead.

Also the way the LED on my TV blinks when I press a button is pretty cool.

Finishing a series of novels and the sense of fulfillment and completion.

The first few barefoot steps on a carpet after a long day at work in very uncomfortable shoes.

Watching the sunrise.

Enjoying the first snowfall of the season from one's own front porch.

Listening to calming exploration music in a game.

A warm bath.

Enjoying a good daydream in class.
