I agree - '33' stands out as a very intense and suspenseful episode - MY kind of TV.Summerstorm said:Hm hm... well i LOVED the first season of it. But after a while it really went downhill fast for me. Still haven't watched the last season as i lost interest. I think i haven't watched most of the third season too, now that i checked.
But really: 33 (The first episode after the minies) was a masterpiece. VERY suspenseful.
Though the reason why the Si-Fy-channel would want to name and tie it's original series to the cheesy, camp, cult phenomenon being Battlestar Galactica 1975 is obvious - $$$ - I absolutely adore how the writers had the balls to insist on writing a science fiction plot not for the sake of being science fiction, but in order to create a backdrop for an engaging narrative tackling intelligent issues of real life while delivering solid drama.
Or at least, that's how I remember the mini-series and the first season to be like. The later series developed the traditional TV-series silly-ness: The breaking point for me was when Colonel Tigh started to sing Bob Dylan's 'All Along the Watchtower' - that was just weird...
