Well as we all know Fighters launch Friday and I don't know anyone here but I am loving it so far. Not only is this the most technical DB fighting game I have ever played but its the most beautiful looking one to boot not only do the characters look good but the backgrounds are breathtaking. I feel as if the Roster is fair enough, we have most of the DBZ characters and we have some super characters to boot. Story mode is a bit repetitive and I'm kinda bummed that we didn't get a arcade character endings. Also I feel as if there isn't a lot to do in offline but all in all its been a fun experience.

Played the beta a little while when it was out in January, I liked the combat but got juggled to hell and back in a couple of online matches, that pretty much put me off on buying the game 😕

However, I did look up quite a few scenes of the game on YouTube and gosh darn it, some of those skits with characters meeting are just amazing. Lovely writing 🐸

Yeah, Project M has pretty much ruined all fighters for me. Except maybe MK9 with local play. And even then, that's a big maybe.

It's not stupid enough for me personally, I come to DBZ games to do stupid ridiculous things and all I get from FighterZ is Arcsys fighter with some tweaks and a change of paint.

I played some of the story mode, and the AI doesn't even fight back. It'll attack maybe once or twice in an entire round.
I don't know what they were thinking, but that's just pathetic.

Only played the beta so my experiences with it are limited. Love the presentation and aesthetic as well as the core combat experience but if your not going to play online I wouldnt bother with it. I do think they have done a good job of making it more accessible to new players without making it shallow and have shown respect to the source material. That said I would have liked some more varied characters in the roster even if they dont make sense such as Bulma and Chichi. Master Roshi would also be great.

And the last 'SP' mode is challenge mode. Remember the challenge tower in MK9? How they had fun with it, and you fought Johnny Cage's stuntman who wanted to take his role in a movie? Or the actual challenge of having to fight 3 Shao Kahns with a single character? Maybe a game of test your sight? DBFZ gives you fucking combo practice. That it. Soulless, joyless busywork pile of garbage
Loved MK9s challenge tower and hated when they ripped it out and replaced it with the low level no effort bs ones of MKX and multiverse of IJ. My favourite still has to be the ones in the Soul Calibur series at least up to 5 (especially SC1 and 2) where you go on a quest and have different types of fights across the map. i.e you sink in the ground here so you have to keep moving, mines are on the ground here so if you get knocked down you suffer big damage etc. Hoping SC6 has a mode like that again as most dont seemt to bother anymore even Netherealms dont seem to have cared much after MK9 and even less after Injustice. I liked it when you had to give the other character the teddy bear in MK9.

Combo practice is fine especially if they are practical its almost a staple at this point tbh but it doesnt mean they cant have a fun single player mode like the one you said as well.

I dont like the bs DLC that they are pulling with this game and indeed most fighters (games) atm so am sticking to my guns and not getting it until its reduced or I can buy the complete edition.
