Who pays for music? Pirate Bay, mateys...
Proclaiming you pirate thing here isn't very smart.

That said, there are better sites to go to than TPB if you are so inclined...

I've never bought an itune song because it never had any of the songs I wanted and I don't put viruses on my computer. Pretty hard to get good Japanese music legally in America.

That's only for those who care about the bitrate of the music, as stated before, still a lossy format but getting better, and it's DRM free which is great.

Either way, I'll buy albums on iTunes that I feel are worth paying for, since the service has been extremely good to me in the past.

I only buy the 99cent or full album for 9.99. I know it doesn't seem like much (.30 extra cents) but 99 for me was my tipping point, if I liked a song I would get it especially local artist or comedians. But now I find myself turning to frostwire or dling from youtube for songs.

I actually haven't downloaded a song from iTunes in quite a while; just been using Youtube lately instead. I'm not sure if that's the reason why, but I still think it's a little dumb, especially since there's about one good .69 song for every... well, for every one good 1.29 song, but that's just because popular music nowadays isn't my cup of tea.
