Well, Valve has done it again... they've teamed up this time with the makers of Shogun to bring us... holy shit... A FULL FLEDGED UPDATE... OH MY GOD... I was almost ready to buy Shogun 2 JUST on account of how amazing these items are... but then I saw somthing that reminded me why Valve is the posterchild for companies of the people; as with the RIFT items, all of the new hats and weapons will be available through crafting and drops. I LOVE this. These new hats and weapons are amazing, and it's a smart move on Valve's part to avoid all the fanrage.

Note: If you want to know why it's so amazing... go look it up... It's a JAPANESE PACK. the Heavy has a Sumo wig. the Demo has a kabuto and a katana. it. looks. AMAZING. I CANNOT WAIT. between this and the Detonator, Valve just keeps cranking out amzing weapon after amazing weapon

I have mixed feelings about this one, frankly.

While I applaud how you can get the items regardless of whether you pre-ordered the game or not, I don't really care for the idea of multiple classes receiving Japanese-themed items. While it makes sense for the Soldier (what with his obsession of military history and warrior cultures, even if it's his own strange interpretation of it), giving the other classes similar items seems drastically out of character. What does a black, Scottish cyclops obsessed with scrumpy and explosions have anything to do with feudal Japan?

I stopped playing TF2 a year or so ago. I actually don't like how many weapons have been added. I feel like the balance of the original game has been lost in favor of crazy weapons and items for each class.

I didn't get it either until I saw it. It's Masamune Date's helmet, who guess what, also had one eye.
