I think your confused this is THQ not Blizzard.TheEndlessGrey said:Why do I read this to mean "we've had our market analysts go over our games compared to other games, and we're stopping to take extra time to make sure we including the following successful features: fast moving zombies, slow moving zombies, mutated monstrosity zombies, online-only single player, a multi-player leveling system with rank based unlocks, titles more accommodating to an endless stream of vanity item DLC but no actual content, and a real money auction house."
Personally, I'm kind of ambivalent, but it would serve them right if they fail at this point.dragongit said:Overall though, that whole Udraw thing really bit THQ hard, hopefully they can recover, in this economy so many ships are sinking.
Serve who right? A couple of executives who pushed out a poor peripheral that failed to meet expectations, so the company would be closed off and hundreds (who may have had absolutely no involvement) left without a job? Serve them right?Zachary Amaranth said:Personally, I'm kind of ambivalent, but it would serve them right if they fail at this point.dragongit said:Overall though, that whole Udraw thing really bit THQ hard, hopefully they can recover, in this economy so many ships are sinking.
Ah, the GOP platform. Spare the executives because it might hurt jobs.dragongit said:Serve who right? That was really a laundry list of offenses from a range of games and platforms, but whatever. The point I was going for is that I see THQ sealing their own fate by trying to squeeze every dime out of their upcoming games, and screwing things up in the process. More time is great, if it truly is polish time and not How Can We Further Monetize This time. Call me cynical, but I am not overly hopeful that the extra time will be used the right way.gardian06 said:I think your confused this is THQ not Blizzard.TheEndlessGrey said:Why do I read this to mean "we've had our market analysts go over our games compared to other games, and we're stopping to take extra time to make sure we including the following successful features: fast moving zombies, slow moving zombies, mutated monstrosity zombies, online-only single player, a multi-player leveling system with rank based unlocks, titles more accommodating to an endless stream of vanity item DLC but no actual content, and a real money auction house."
OT: A publisher that want to give "more" time to a developer amazing. now only if they can get a calender that the rest of the world uses.
Because Too Human and Duke Nukem Forever were highly polished masterpieces. I think Valve Time only works when it's Valve making the game.Ldude893 said:Considering the tried-and-true result of games that get delayed by Valve time, I've no objections. Get the games out when you're ready, I'll be waiting.
fiscal 2014. the fiscal year is very different than the calendar year. their fiscal 2014, as it says in the article, begins next april. so pushing things back until then means pushing things back to mid-late next year, when the bad omen of 13 is gone.TheNaut131 said:
I understand and respect their decision...but it still hurts. Hopefully it adds some polish to the games and helps THQ take a few steps in the right direction. I was really looking forward to Metro: Last Light, but eh, what are you gonna do?
...but still, 20414?!?
