Good: stop funding complete shit like Homefront, stop THINKING you can swing your weight around with EA and Activion when you evidently can't, and stop aspiring to be those morons anyway.

Work on your own game, treat it well, and don't ever abuse it (Assassin's Creed) - stop trying to ape other people's shit. CoD sells because its what everyone's mates play, that's about it.

I am disappointed, ladies and gentlemen - deeply disappointed - that it took 33 messages before someone mentioned Metro. We all have our biases (and mine are pretty well known) but the Metro franchise is the only THQ property I care about in the least. And I really want Last Light done well. "Uncompromised" is an excellent way to put it.
Thankfully, what little's been shown looks really good (and oh so very, very pretty) - I'm impressed that they managed to cut gameplay footage together to make it a little more punchy, without making it look like something it isn't. (Oh, hello Hitman.)

I'd actually be tempted to invest in THQ if I knew how. Shares that low? I could throw ten quid at them and if they make a comeback i'd be profiting pretty well.

Pretty much. Once you start selling cheats [http://store.steampowered.com/app] I'd say you've strayed into ridiculous territory.

Seriously, selling cheats for $3, a gun and hat [http://store.steampowered.com/app/55388/] for $2, other DLC that include one outfit and gun for $2... on top of a season pass that's $20 (unless that pass includes these small DLC. But I think it's only for the bigger ones).

Yeah, see, this, this right here, this is why I, and other people, have been bitching and moaning about DLC. Because we knew this would happen.
Especially since the cheats were a huge feature of the game before. Granted, there are still cheats in the game, but these ones included some cheat features one might consider integral to SR after 2.

And yeah, the Season Pass is kind of misleading. It only covers Genkibowl, the Trouble With Clones, and the third major piece (can't remember what it's called offhand). Oh, and you get ONE of the minor DLCs as a bonus. Think it's the Nyte Blade pack.

The Shark Gun is cool, but not worth a solo DLC....Oh, wait, there's a HAT as well? Sign me up!

It's funny. The one thing I wanted for SR2 was more DLC. They granted my wish, corrupt-a-wish style, by giving me less game and a ton of DLC. But if I felt ripped off by the game being gutted, why would I pay extra just to buy the other stuff?

WHAT YOU SAY? D:<

...Saints Row The Third was amazing. Anyone who thinks otherwise is, in all probability, a ghost. Are you a ghost...?
Saints Row the Third was okay, a decent game that was a pale reflection of its predecessor. In fact, if they didn't add VTOLs and laser designators, the shallow experience probably would have been more obvious from day one. But seriously, hoverbikes, so....

I must be a ghost.

So THQ is jettisoning their licensed game business? Who's gonna make that new My Little Pony game now?

"With luck, someone better!" *ba-dum-TISH*

They're publicly traded; I assume you'd buy stock in them the same way you'd buy stock in any company. Google is your friend.

I do think that 2033 did well enough that Last Light would be picked up pretty quickly by another publisher if THQ were to bite it. And I'd be perfectly okay with that if it meant a better game. Which is something that hopefully THQ has finally figured out: making good games is an important part of the equation. Licenses and shovelware and Danny Bilson all have their place but if you're not making good games, sooner or later it'll bite you in the ass.
I remember Metro 2033 well, although I didn't remember that THQ were responsible. I read a magazine article for 2033 that made me genuinely excited. A gritty, realistic shooter where bullets double as ammo and money? Managing oxygen and a map screen represented by your character actually pulling out and looking at a map? It sounded like just my kind of thing, and a great change of pace. When I went to the store later that day and saw it was already out I just had to buy it. Turns out the picture the magazine painted wasn't all true. Though technically most of the pieces were there (Ammo trading, oxygen) it came off feeling just like a standard FPS with very minor differences. I still own the game, and I'll probably get back to it someday, it just didn't deliver on the experience I was hoping for. That said, I do hope the sequel is released. I plan on keeping a close eye on it in the hopes it will live up to the promises made about the first game.

Oh god, I hope they don't fuck up their IP's by milking them to death. I like Metro 2033 and Saint's row: The Third but I don't want to see a yearly update for them because they aren't that good.

If that's your goal, thq, then put all the stuff from saints row 2 you removed back into the third. Seriously, I want my on demand phone taxis.

Great! As ling as Last Light is good and they keep making awesome 40k content, I'm happy.

On a side note....
