OT: I've killed a few. At least made posts that objectively handle the topic in question comprehensively and should have destroyed most or all of the aspects there are for the topic to be dealt with. Of course that requires considerable weakness from the thread at hand. If I bump into such a thread, I sometimes feel slightly inclined to do so, whether it requires a few well put lines or an elaborate wall o' text, especially if there isn't such a post yet.

Yeah, there was a time I felt like a thread-killer. Not so much anymore for some reason. Actually, in real life, I find myself to be a CONVERSATION-killer.
I think if I left comments and questions to be more open-ended, that might help. But who knows, you could just be late for the party.
