A very unoriginal idea. Try and make an original game and you will find the name jump out at you.

damn you guys are harsh......

also your teammates can permanently die limiting your options in the future
like Yahtzee and weapon degradation, please name one instance in history when this has been enjoyable for the player.
Fire Emblem.

Anyway, as others have said, there really isn't anything unique about your game idea. Scrapping it entirely might be the way to go.

While I can't give any pointer to you (I'm very unoriginal, and... see 1), I can say that actually LOL'd upon seeing the mod's new title. Kudos whoever did that.

well do you guys have any ideas of what to add then
You need a writer. You need to find somebody to write the storyline; make it original. People who work alone create something they alone will enjoy; people who work together create something enjoyable by a large group.

There are two key elements in a game: Story and gameplay. With the exception of adventure games, the only way to excel in both areas is to work with someone. E.g. I could never design a game, but I could probably write the story for one.

Oh, and: Perma-death. NO. Not the whole game. But don't have it so they come back within one minute, either. Have it so that if a team member 'dies,' they retreat and return at the start of the next mission/battle/stage/level.

If a fantastic game designer makes a game alone, everyone would love the gameplay but would lose interest when they find that they don't give a flaming flying shit what happens at the end.

If a great writer makes a game alone, people wil love the story but would give up halfway after being bored out of their brains during the actualy 'playing' part.

Epic Quest to rescue a loved one hmmmmm.

Well There is the Silent Hile series, legend of Zelda games usually involve a princess that could be a love interest, same thing goes for Mario games. Halo 3 has you spending a part of the game looking for Cortana but that makes up a small part. I havn't spent anytime on the FF series but I'm sure they have something to do with rescuing love interests.

Thats all I can think of now but I will return with more.

Oh and the new name is great.

Usually titles come well into the development stage of any creative work. By then the writers and/or artists know what the story and world is all about.

Now, as for suggesting a title: With the basic outline you've provided, I think you'd need a name with a colon and a lower-case first letter or an acronym to give it a suitably "future-tech" name. So, something like "c-Police: Terror Response Unit" or "T.R.U.: Terror Response Unit." Although, with a name like this you'll probably get sued by the F.E.A.R. guys (and you would deserve it).

Or you can just mad-lib it. Open a dictionary and use the first adjective and then open to another page and use the first noun. Seriously, it's fun. I just got "Dark Finger" "Counterclockwise Horizon" "Jewish Bestseller" and "Lofty Piano." Now, I know these are terrible names (although "Counterclockwise Horizon" has a nice ring to it), but sometimes adding a random element to your creative process can be beneficial.

Can I ask why you just made a triple post when one of them had nothing in it and the big, red edit button is just a click away?
