DO NOT LET MICHAEL BAY GET HIS HANDS ON THIS FOOTAGE

We'll be staring Transformers 4: Reddish-brown of Mars in the face before we know it.

You guys read that crazy guys Facebook comment on this? Apparently at 0:49 you can see the word G carved into the rock... I didn't see anything but hey, maybe I didn't stare at it hard enough >.>
How exactly do you spell the "word" G...
TBH, it's not all that hard, really.

I'm beyond interested. The fact that there's nothing there is ridiculously interesting to me.

And no, I'm not being sarcastic.
Yeah, I hate to admit it, but that was the most boring three minutes of my life...

I know it's amazing and that it's another planet's surface that I'm seeing, and that it's an incredible that a machine so complex has been built to last up there three years, beam images, collect data and add to our knowledge of the Red Planet...

But mother of God that was excruciating. Sorta made me glad a human wasn't sent...
I realise it's a pain staking process, but three years for 13 miles seems, to be honest, excessive.

I hope the data they collected sets fire to their pants when they analyse it or something because that video sure wasn't worth three years.

Out of curiosity, is there a reason they decided to attach a monochrome camera to the rover? I mean, is there something about taking HD color photos that influenced the decision? It's not 1965...

Other than that, it's breathtaking to see the images of a foreign world none of us will be able to ever visit in our lifetimes most likely. Just wish it was.. you know.. in color for visual pop.
