Do you really think think all people can be repaired? When you till 20+ people for the thrill or because you feel like it you're most likely beyond mental rehab
You lose the right to live once you go on a killing spree
And so when our society goes on a killing spree, we somehow then deserve to live? Lets have some consistency, please.

Surely using that mentality, all it takes is one wrongly accused innocent person to be sent to jail to render the whole law as broken?
Maybe you're right, but it's much easier to apoligize to someone who's just spent the last 10 years in jail for no reason than it is to someone who's just been executed.
Have you ever apologised to someone who's been executed? It's pretty easy, you can say what you want.

Personally, I am for the death penalty. And like a poster before me, here in England criminals often have more rights than those they victimise.
I liken our government to a pathetic parent who lets their kids run wild because they're too afraid to confront them. A child should, on some level, fear their parent. Citizens, on some level, must fear their government.

And yes, overcrowding is a serious issue. Everytime (which to be fair isn't often) I hear about a prison letting some of it's inmates out early because of overcrowding I am absolute gobsmacked. We give them weak sentences, that can be reduced if they get a bit cramped. Overpopulation is the root to a lot of evil and problems in this world. Why waste our time with those who don't care about us?

I think it should be reserved for those who have commited a very violent crime against an innocent or in cold blood, for which there is substantial evidence for. The idea that it costs more to execute them than it does to house them for life makes me laugh. That's because of Death Row. How much does a bullet and a wet towel cost?

Of course really, we should be attacking the roots of these problems. Like the lack of a father figure and areas to safely socialise together in a productive environment...but a man can dream.

Yeah, try explaining that to the wife and kids.

No, it's the government that must fear it's citizens. What you're talking about is a brutal dictatorship.

Nothing built on fear ever worked, capital punishment is a testimony of that.

But the government is supposed to be carrying out the will of the people. It's only when the government decides to sieze that power and use it to its own ends that we get a brutal dictatorship. Whether it's through the government, the media, or vigilantism, what citizens really must fear is each other.

If you kill someone, you do not deserve to live. There is no person that should be free of this rule too. I don't care what the reason is, even if you are mentally deranged. People who have murdered, should be. I know I'm going to get alot of flack for this, but I stand behind it.

Now before i start i want you to understand im not flaming or saying that your wrong, everyone has an opinion and we're all entitled to one, mine however is in support of the death penalty, there are some things that time in prison just wont get the point across...and you think they all stay in prison for life? no, no they dont, i have a cousin, he's a vegetable now, drunk driver hit him, do i think she should die? nah, but i do think that she should still be in prison. is she? no. she got out. quickly. now there are also many prisoners who will tell you " a death sentence is terrible, but life in prison is much worse" now these are the individuals that had no chance for parole, not everyone gets that chance but many that don't deserve it did and are out, there are people appealing for parole because of things they did 35 years ago and its ridiculous. Im a future defense attorney, i know how the legal system works ok, the whole innocent until proven guilty thing, without a shadow of a doubt though, i will say, if there is proof that you have done it, there is no denying it and there is no way around it then you should get the appropriate penalty, be it 10 years, 20 years, life in prison, or death. its ridiculous how some things work nowadays, i hope you see where im coming from, thats all i have to say
