unreleased (Doh!) I'd hold out for Mass Effect 2 and ODST (cuz you're basically getting halo 3's multiplayer w/ a more interesting sounding single player)
and borrow Mass Effect

I don't own a 360, so all I can suggest are Wii games. With that in mind...

don't buy a game unless it has good multiplayer, the exception would be Oblivian and Fallout 3
because it took me four days to do three complete Bioshock runs and getting every achivement. and Mass Effect u should borrow it is long enough to last more than 5 days but not long enough to be worth buying. at this point the only games I would buy would be
Gears of War 2 and Fallout 3, then rent/borrow COD 4,Halo 3, Gears of War 1, Prototype, Assassins Creed and borrow GTA 4 and get TLAD with GTA 4. wait to buy
Halo 3: ODST
Assassins Creed 2
Bioshock 2
Modern Warfare 2
Mass Effect 2
Lost Planet 2
Final Fantasy 13
and maybe rent WET, The Sabotuer and Batman Arkham Asylum if they are any good.
That should give you a good amount of stuff and Fallout 3 has some really good DLC but there are like 50$ worth of them and mass effect has a five dollar Dlc that will last like an hour, Halo 3's maps will come with ODST and for Gears of War 2 there is a 20$ add on that you can buy next month with every map and a new chapter for the story.
Get Portal or you will be missing out on a very good game.

For Wii:
Super Smash Bros Brawl

For 360:
Tales of Vesperia

Then the third.. well it depends, on what you're looking for.. single player, multiplayer online, multiplayer local, rpg, shooter, whatever.

But like I said, shooters on the 360 suck, if possible get the pc version instead.. shooters on Wii.. have potential but only one really out for it is the Conduit and I haven't played that yet.

If you're in to pre-ordering though, I'd say ditch Dead Rising and pre-purchase Batman: Arkham Asylum. Not becaue I think Dead Rising is a lesser game mind you, it's just older and cheaper than the other two so it'd be easier to pick up as a fourth title with little to no saving up required.

These are three games out right now on my to get list:
Overlord II (PS3/360/Wii)
Ghostbusters (PS3/360/Wii)
Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires (PS3/360)

Personaly I wouldn't get any of them on Wii. Probably all three on PS3 though I might get DW6E on 360 to multi-play with best friend, plus I already have DW6 on PS3. Course I have Warriors Orochi on 360 so we can always just keep playing that. Choices, choices.
