hey this is twice today that the Escapist PS3 group has mentioned stuff before it was in the news room
It's moderately quicker to mention something then it is to research and write, and edit an article. Then get it approved by the managing editor.
And some of us (me) dont check the PS3 group (because I didnt know it existed). All my gaming news comes straight from the News Room, so Ill let them off being an hour behind the rest of the forums.
actually it's a week behind the group and over 3 weeks behind when it was originally announced
Well Im embarassed now.
Can you link me to the PS3 group, I should really get it bookmarked :)

A couple of my friends have the Batcave. It's a nice change from the Harbor Studio but there really isn't much to do. I wish Sony would make the promised personal TV's and Jukeboxes so personal spaces would be more interesting. If anyone is interested please check out http://www.playstationhometoday.com/

Its like a facebook for Home users. It's a nice way of cutting past the riff-raff that plagues Home.

So I could presumably go watch videos of a game I own, while on the console that I could play it on. If I go download the Home... stuff.

...Did someone really think that was a worthwhile idea, or is it just to show your friends that don't have Arkham Asylum what it looks like?

I'll try being a bit more optimistic here. I like the -concept- of Home, and little bonuses like this are a step in the right direction. More content = more interest from users = more incentive to provide content/improvements. Home could be kinda cool, but not without a bunch of design changes. I still can't bring myself to pay real money for virtual furniture, so things like this (and unlockable Xbox Live avatar clothes/items) are appreciated.
