I remember playing a scooby-doo game when i was little. And on the 25th of december (and other dates). The game would become holiday related. such as it started snowing, or fireworks on the 4th of july. I was wondering if anybody knew of some other games that did this. and if so what did they do?

I think the Simpsons Hit and Run did the exact same thing as you outlined.
But that was so long ago for me I'm not entirely sure.

Halo 3 sort of did this.

On certain holidays an emblem relating to the holiday would show up in the Valhalla map.

Not sure if they still do it anymore.

Animal crossing would change seasons and have celebrations like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve. I can't think of any other ones right now but I'll probably update it.

Oh yeah. Many older games do that.

For at least thanksgiving and Christmas, they're called different things and have different reasons for celebrating them. They have documentation on the site that explains it better.

Im pretty sure Pokemon Channel for the gamecube used your gamecubes clock to go from night to day, when certain shows were on, and im pretty sure it celebrated holidays.

It did (with a changed menu screen I believe), as did Road Rage, but RR did it to a greater extent (a new character on holidays)

MMO's do this often, and WoW does it the best. Fantastic events, lots and lots of fun, screwing around with the wacky gadgets you get. And they don't just celebrate Christmas and Halloween, but even the Oktoberfests in Germany.

I remember raiding cities while everyone was dressed up as a Christmas 'elf' (e.a gnome in a little suit), parading around with the presents you got from the big ol' tree. And, best of all, raiding the enemy's city to take kill their Santa Claus (or better, as a rogue, sneaking inside the city and make a hit-and-run attack on him, oh the rage). Good times, gods it´s been a year now.

The End from MGS3

Best time related sequence ever.

Those of you who know what I'm talking about, must agree. ^^
Oh, absolutely. I laughed so much at that when I came across it, it was brilliant!
