I think it just didn't manage to find an identity of its own. The game does play quite different from other FPSes (in fact I think it's almost closer to a mech game since you're more concerned with weapon ranges and electronic warfare than pinpoint aiming or reflexes) but I can't imagine any way to sum that up in a single sentence and the finer details don't show up until you've gotten good at the game so it doesn't make a good first impression. The drop spawning really isn't the biggest difference in the game.

Anyway, starting again with a new game seems like a good idea, all that approval stuff really screwed the first game's maintenance over (e.g. they couldn't make patches without Microsoft's approval apparently and that took like a month to get, especially stuff like fixing map exploits would apparently require paying some fees to MS for the patch) and I suspect they aren't going for a GFWL game this time.

Oh joy?

Maybe they'll build on the potential of the first and make a solid game.

I'll keep my eye on it. But likely will end up disappointed.
this. how about actually MAKING A CAMPAIGN. i mean jesus that was the most utter excuse for single player i had ever played. there is definite potential in the game they just did NOT use it one bit.

hopefully this will tell them that people are NOT Looking for multiplayer in the game

Microsoft doesn't charge a fee for the patches.

I'm not too sure on the approval process, but even if it did take a while, it is so it won't require another patch down the line.

The approval process can't take that long. Patches usually release the same day on the 360 as they do the PC/PS3 for most multiplat games.

I loved the first game but it wasn't worth the $60 but since this is an arcade game I think Timegate may have a actually good game on their hands.
