what game comes into mind when you remember "ah, the good old days..." of gaming? is it that special very first game you ever laid your hands on? is it that game you saw gathering dust on the second-hand shelf and fell immediately in love? or is it the game which you and only you seem to have that special attraction to?

my personal "bestest game... ever!" would be TimeSplitters 2... i know, i know, it isn't that old, its only one generation ago... but when i first booted that game up on my second hand Playstation 2, and the intro music kicked in and the screen shone a brilliant blue... i knew it was the beginning of something special. =)

another game i remember is Darkcloud... it came on my Ps2's demo disk, and i thought "i really want this game" but could find no way of getting it... it didn't seem to be a popular game afterall, where would i find it? desperately i went to the local game store, to find that it was lying within the mounds of second hand games, as though it were waiting for me :D

I think of just the Sega Genesis console as a whole. So many good memories up until I accidently broke the console by leaving a game paused for 4 hours...

Good times...good times... (not the breaking of consoles but the games)

I don't know why but I get nostalgic thinking of good ol' Worms: Armageddon. Maybe I played it too much.

Opening up my SEGA Megadrive after nearly two years of begging my parents to get me one and playing Sonic 2 for the first time was pretty special.

That plus finding the MD version of Street Fighter Championship Edition after I had been obsessed with the game at an arcade on holiday and had believed I would never play it again.

Master of Magic and X-Com: UFO Defense

The latter you can get on Steam nowadays... I still have my original copy though.

Super Metroid.

Thread: Even more over because DK was kind of lame.
Really? what didn't you like about it?
Repetitive. Possibly the most repetitive game I've ever played. My opinion, obviously.

Nox. It was my first Rpg I ever played and I loved it. So much so that I still hate EA for destroying Westwood and for stopping its support for the game.
