Alright so I'm sure we've all had interviews in our lives to get the jobs we currently have. However have you ever had a interview for a job you were completely unexperienced and under-qualified for yet got the interview based off of a resume that "looked" good. This being said, what are some tips for the upcoming interview that you have absolutely no credentials for and yet hope to get hired.

Basically what I'm asking is how do you "fool" the boss into hiring a moron for his company?

(Don't know about others but I've seen this happen many times over where a boss has hired someone who has had no technical experience where needed)

First tip.

dont call it a interview... try an interview.

Basically just be friendly. Smile and make sure you do it with your eyes aswell otherwise its just creepy. And remember you "like" people... you're a people person.

If this is just a meet and greet style interview, just be pleasant and engaging. Ask questions where appropriate, avoid sensitive/controversial subjects, and show that you're filled with nothing but alacrity. Don't overdress. Don't underdress, either. No fancy jewelry, no visible tattoos. Keep your cell phone turned off.

If it's a technical interview, prepare to get reamed. Good-looking resumes are a dime a dozen. Employers know this so they'll often test a potential employee's knowledge before they hire them. There's nothing you can do to fool your way through them. I've had several over the years and even the ones that were a mere formality before I was hired were quite thorough.

It's a confidence game.
Look the interviewer in the eye and shake their hand firmly. Answer with confidence and don't umm and arr. Generally when people are bullshitting they will give longer rambling answers and go round in circles. Be as concise and specific as possible, eg: where possible cite specific examples of things you did rather than generalising and talking bullshit.
Also be polite to the receptionist.
