Now hold on a second, isn't the point of having a lower difficulty setting to make the game easier? Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this what you expected? Isn't this what everyone expects from lower difficulty settings?thenamelessloser said:Not necessarily, I sometimes do not like games when they get too hard, but if I lower the difficulty settings Fallout 1 and 2 weren't that hard. Another thing for the topic creator, if the game is too hard, recommend to put it on easier difficulties until you get used to it.
I'm having trouble wrapping my head around just what you are trying to get across here. Lower difficulty settings make harder games easier? Revelation.
I'm so... what? Wtf?
Edit:
On topic, sorry. Fallout 2 is a great game, just don't go into it with a bunch of preconceptions you may have gained from playing Fallout 3. The two games are like apples and oranges when you take them away from their somewhat shared universe.
If you enjoyed old-school games like Planescape: Torment, the Baldur's Gate series and other western RPG's in the same vein you should be fine. Just keep in mind how old the original games are compared to what you will get today.
