More seriously theres a niche to fill, by the sounds of it a WW2 game sounds very generic, but after giving Corruption of Champions a go I can say there is nothing else like it (for better or for worse) and this is the same concept in a sci-fi setting.

I play it for a big amount of hours and I even started multiply games, because sometimes I simple f*cked up so hard in some choices.....

I came in thinking this would be about a Kickstarter to localize Trails in the Sky's second chapter, and left VERY dsappointed.

Keep in mind I don't actually play the games, but my curiosity of what the game is lead me to look it up on Tumblr.

Apparently a lot of people within the Corruption of Champions fandom are getting pretty pissed off at the creators.
Most of the content updates now I heard are from fans of the series.


For a game that claims to cater to every sex fetish imaginable, those two only allow content that they like.

Fans have increasingly complained how most of the scenarios are pretty misogynistic, and pretty misandrist if the males happen to be nice, they never allow actual gay content unless said characters are converted to transgender, they don't allow for really beefy female characters despite having them in droves for the male characters, they throw rape around like confetti even if they scenarios aren't actually rape, and so on.

I'm saying this because I don't really think many people are going to support the sequel.
Also 200k is a lot.

Unless they are having full blown illustrations by artists of the highest quality I can't think of any reason why something like text based sex requires that much money

I am not sure 20 odd people counts as "The Escapist". Out of the thousands who visit here, is it really that surprising that a handful might like this kind of thing?

I can't say it does anything for me personally, I have never understood the appeal of those kinds of, uh "games", but I don't see why it'd be surprising that at least some people out of thousands would. The site has a pretty varied demographic.

Take for example the game "Saya no Uta".
It is an erotic visual novel, but DAMN!!!!! The recent Resident Evil and Silent Hill games must take a lesson and follow the horror aspect of this game.

Just a normal adventure of an knight inside a parallel realm seeking a way to bring peace to his village in any way possible.

There is a textdump somewhere on the net about that game. There's a metric ton of content and someone on the forum on the creator's blog wrote something like a guide.

I was actually quite surprised that the writing isn't bad. It's not romance-novel worthy but I went into that expecting something, I don't know, fanfiction-level-y?

A few hours later (having beaten some apparently highly amorous imps) I finally found the secret how not to turn into a monstrosity and fail (succeed?) at the game: Simply don't drink and/or eat anything you come across. Stay in the early areas an level for a while. (There is even an NPC in a city who sarcastically points out that people eating all kinds of mutagenic junk shouldn't be surprised when their body becomes a mismatched biologist's nightmare) It's one of the very few design flaws of the game: You can stumble into regions where the critters are too strong for you because they aren't restricted.

From a standpoint of a gamer, I actually "get" this game. The reason people play it is the same reason people watch porn: fun.

There's been a mit of a ruckus because some of the (volunteer) writers felt dejected because their content went ignored, (from the look of it for something the creator himself liked more) but that was apparently settled because writers and the creators put on their big-boy pants and actually talked to one another.

I all fairness, Fenoxo (ha! remembered the name) has a relatively good excuse why some content doesn't make it in: He sometimes has polls where players get to vote on what he puts in next. The options on those are pretty varied and balanced. However, most CoC players are male and straight, so do the math. IThere was a poll about THAT too. Apparently the guy knows his audience.)

Now I'll go any cry in a corner because I've just realized that I actually researched a NSFW flash game some guy on the internet wrote. Shame on me.
