Okay, so there is a mouse (or maybe mice, not sure yet) in my room. I know they obviously need to go but my thing is I don't want to kill it (them).

Anyone know of any traps that just catch them without killing it (them)? Or is there a way to get them out without killing it (them)? (besides the bait them out with food and catch them thing)

Buy multiple cats. And when the cats have done their job buy multiple dogs. And when the dogs have done their job buy multiple wolves. And when the wolves have done their job buy multiple bears. And then move house.

Cheese? Tbh, my first though was "...use a cat".

Draw it out with food, then trap it with an empty bucket. =]

No there isn't.

If you manage to catch it alive and release it, changes are it'll just return.

I got a mouse problem myself. I've put out mousetraps and poison, but the clever bastard ain't touching any of it.

I can't help you with a method of releasing it alive, but for anyone who wants to kill the little buggers, use a traditional mouse trap with a gummy bear for bait. They get their teeth stuck in the candy, which makes them move around enough for the trap to get sprung. Peanut butter and the like don't work as well.

I think there are traps that are essentially boxes with food in the.
They walk in and the door closes behind them and you can let it outside.

I see no way this plan can fail.

You can use havahart traps, but you`ll have to actually bring them a good distance away. Chances are others would replace them though. I have a cat who might go after one or two every so often, but otherwise I just kind of live with them. Maybe I`m just a more tolerant person though.

I'm sorry, but it will simply return if you let it live.
Unless you drop it off overseas...

Otherwise, put some kind of sleeping agent on cheese and leave it around the room (in the center). It needs to be pretty strong so that it knocks it out almost instantly and for a long period of time (a day or so). Be sure to seal of the room so that no other pets will eat the cheese.

And when you have caught it, drop it off in Canada or something.

Easier way is to kill it.

I'll look for those then, and that will be my plan A.

I plan on taking it (them) to a field a couple miles away.

I'd usually just let them live, but then they'll multiply and before you know it they'll be all over the place. Plus the thought of waking up with one near me. *shudders* Not happening...
