A lake, you say? With dark, silent woods as far as the eye can see? Seems like a good time to begin my amateur career as an Indie suspense/horror film maker......
OT: Some of my best memories are at my uncle's lake location. There isn't a house there (yet), just a trailer home they parked there. It's got neighbors reasonably close, but not to close to ruin the "out-doorsy" feel. Winding dirt roads, a large town nearby, where we can party and enjoy ourselves, and the fresh air blowing off the lake.
We jet ski, boat, cook (we often have tons of friends come up and hang out, playing horseshoes and getting drunk), and sit around the fire late at night while fireflies float around us, the star clear above our heads.
Our uncle and his family stay in the trailer, while our family usually sleeps in some large tents, although just this summer our uncle built a large garage/cabin, which we slept in. The floor was cold, but it had a mini-fridge.
