I share a flat with two girls, and I always put both seats down. That is, the bit you sit on when doing a Number Two (or to pee if you're female), AND the solid bit without a hole in the middle, that you can just use as a normal seat (or put your towel on when you have a shower
). That's what I've always done, and most of my life I've spent in a house that was all-male save for my mother (I don't have any sisters or anything, just a dad and brother).
So yeah, I'm used to putting the seat down, and the way I do it looks nicer and means everyone has to put at least one seat up anyway when they use the toilet. So everyone is annoyed equally
. I jest of course, neither of my flatmates have ever called me out on the toilet seat. I mean, why should they? It's just a really petty and unimportant thing to worry about, really...
