I was just thinking, wouldn't it be totally awesome for all three of the Tom Clancy series to be joined story wise, and just have one big huge game and involve Captain Mitchell, Sam Fisher and Logan Keller all in one game or storyline? It's just begging to be done.

If not combining all of it into one game, then do it kind of like Rockstar did it with the Episodes From Liberty City and have their storylines all interwoven. Just think of the awesome!

Any thoughts?

I thought Endwar was supposed to do that to some extent.

I know Mitchell is your general and they mention Splinter Cells...

Why do they even put the Tom Clancy name on the games if he doesn't have anything to do with it. Other than the first Rainbow Six, which is a book by Tom Clancy.

Anyways, that would be cool. Can you imagine Rainbow Six going after Sam Fisher after what happened in Conviction?

I would love to see that. I don't think that Fisher would make it out alive. Taking prisoners has never really been Rainbow Six's style if the book is any indication

Swat VS Army VS Spy? Interesting. Sounds like a shoddy Deadliest Warrior episode though.

I wasn't really meaning that they would be working against each other...

They already are linked. Read all the Clancy novels aswell as the games and they link in rather well, however here are some examples in the games.

Conviction - the Jets that save you in the Flashback mission are members of HAWX.
Vegas 2 - The NSA Agents are Splinter cells.
Jets in Ghost Recon are members of HAWX.
Endwar referances all aspects of the Clancy-verse

Aren't they doing that slightly?

I'm sure I heard of something like that...

And yes it would be awesome... and expensive.

Of course they mention splinter cells, it's a war game and an RTS. It's impossible not to mention splinter cells and still be accurate.

Honestly, all I played was Splinter Cell, and I couldn't care less. If it was good, sure, but I'm not interested in all the politics these games are drenched in.

Id love it. But it would undoubtably upset some fans when one franchise recieves better treatment than others.

If it was Rainbow Six Vegas that came out on top.... id be over the moon. Sam fishers got nothin on team rainbow.

Both the Splinter Cell games (yes, even Double Agent and Conviction) and the Rainbow Six games are absolutely amazing, so i'd enjoy the hell out of it.

I'd personally like to see more Tom Clancy games based on the books, instead of the other way round.

I have to disagree, the older sam fisher keeps getting faster as he gets older, just compare conviction to the original splinter cell

Although I don't think many characters show up, End War is exactly what you want. Granted its in RTS format.

I'm sure in a straight up firefight Fisher would be very lucky to get out. Too bad it wouldn't be a straight up fight.

I always enjoyed Tom Clancy's books (his solo efforts, not the Ops-Center crap), but I have not played a single Clancy game I really enjoyed. They started out shit with The Hunt for Red October in about 1988 and never got any more fun to play thereafter I always thought. I think I feel like that because not one of them ever came close to matching up to the standards set by the novels.
