For Some of you, You have never expericened the "greatest" movie of all time....The Room. It was the Cinematic Brain child of Tommy Wiseau, I had seen reviews of it and many of the scenes on youtube. But last night i went to a midnight showing to clarify if it was really that awfull......it was Hilarious, And while i was there The man himself show'd and had a Q-A session with the people in the theater....and it appears that these little Gems are now in the work......

A classic So Bad it's Good film. Heard about it from the Nostalgia Critic, before the film company axed it.

I expect this thread will also be locked to preserve the name of Tommy Wiseau.

Isn't he, like, retroactively ironic?
That is the hipster use of ironic, there, not the proper one.

But yeah, they look pretty awful.
I can only hope he is not TRYING to be terrible. Nobody can make so-bad-it's-good on purpose (unless they are Andrew Hussie).

I love this movie to bits. I've played the online flash game, I've listened to the rifftrax, I quote it all the time. Pure genius, that film is.

The Room is a freaking masterpiece. If anyone finds any conclusive evidence that from the begining Tommy Wiseau genuinely intended it to be a comedy, he deserves so many awards.

Those two films don't look quite as good though.
I still can't believe that I've only just discovered this a few weeks ago. >.>

Yeah, those two don't look quite as bad (good), but I'm sure they'll be entertaining nonetheless.

Part of me really wants to see every new movie this man makes. The other part can only cringe in agony at those two trailers. :p

Rather than dignify this movie with a personal response, I will instead offer the following:

[The Hipster] holds an odd fascination for really bad, cult indie films. Tommy Wiseau's "The Room" is no exception, ever. Seriously, this movie is like the Napoleon Dynamite of the hipster culture. Every fucking hipster and their grandmother quotes this shit endlessly.

- Encyclopedia Dramatica, "Hipsters"
Also, I found this amusing review on imdb.com:

You know that foreign exchange student from high school who used to creep out all the girls with his clumsy leering and broken-English pick-up lines? Well, he's all grown up and somebody gave him money to make a film. Tommy Wiseau, whose accent could best be described as "half-drunk Croatian cyborg", stars as Johnny, the man with the most sculpted ass in all of San Francisco. His girlfriend Lisa, played by oft-topless Juliette Danielle, seduces his best friend, played by department store mannequin Greg Sestero. To go any farther with the plot would be overdignifying this laugh-out-loud crapfest. Imagine a two-hour episode of "Red Shoe Diaries" written and directed by Balki from "Perfect Strangers". Trust me, this is the worst movie you will ever see ever in your entire life. Ever. But is it pathetically awful or sadistically hilarious? What you think will depend on your life experiences and viewpoint. But we can all agree, it's a big, steaming nut-filled turd.

xD

When I was told to watch the review from our friend.
[small]So, technically, I haven't actually watched it yet...>.>[/small]

Still, I'm fairly certain I've seen the highlights (low-lights?) of the film, but okay! That's not an excuse, I'll watch The Room tonight!
