Lets see past few months weve had

E3
SDCC
PAX
Blizzcon
and now TGS

Each show costs publishers money and developers time to make a setup and or presentation for the fans. Plus each show tries to have a big announcement. I admit its good to see Sony and MS push each other every show and try out do each other but I dont think some games need showing off every month or so.

Maybe im just jealous because I will never get to see one of these shows in my lifetime since they never seem to go outside of the US or Japan. :(

No, each one has a set use.

E3 is for journalists to try the products.
Comic-con is supposed to be about comics, not games, but has become more about nerd culture with a basis in comics.
PAX is for the public because they can't get into E3.
Blizzcon is for those that only play SC, WoW and other Blizzard products, it's more of a Blizzard only PAX.
TGS is for the Japanese game companies to have a convention on their continent and only appeal to the typical Japanese gamer.

And as an extra, Quake Con is for those who love id games and are exclusively PC gamers.

What about GameX in Philadelphia in October? I'm not sure who the target audience is for that.

I reallty don't know much about it, but after a few google searches, I think it's like PAX on the East Coast for those who couldn't go across the country in September.

Works for me. I'm pretty close to Pennsylvania anyway, being in Ohio.

Yes, but I can't go to any of them, as I am currently involved in a program that keeps me here until after I finish college, and even then, the chances are slim.
