Too many March Mayhem ads.

Okay, I couldn't find any place else to post this, so...
I just find it strange that the escapist choose to advertise in all 4 advertisement boxes they have on this site, plus, before any movie you watch. I mean, wouldn't it be better for them to earn some money by showing other advertisements?

And its not like just because I see the the ad on 4 different places on the screen, it means that its 4x the chance I would visit the forums and start voting for the different developers. If you're a regular forum member, you should already know about this "showdown", and if you're not, its not likely you'll vote here now... And why make such a big fuzz about this competition (MARCH MAYHEM!!!). I just don't understand it^^

This is an "event" for the site, which means it's created to garner interest not only from those here, but from new visitors. If you visit the MM threads, you'll see that many posting are new members; a good thing for the site. The amount of ads is just to try to make sure that everybody knows what's going on, and to try to get people interested to vote. These developers are advertising on their own forums and stuff. That's part of the competition.

These threads bashing March Mayhem are starting to piss me off. It is a vote on which game developer is the most popular here. The competition is run by this website, which is why they are posting it everywhere. Stop complaining about it and get on with your day. It's not that big a deal. If you don't like hearing the guys talk about it before your videos, then mute your computer until they are done. It's a simple press of a button or turn of a knob.
I swear this is like the fiftieth 'Too Much March Mayhem' thread that I have seen here. It's almost over anyway, just deal with it and stop complaining.

I didnt bash the March Mayhem competition. I didnt complain. I dont get annoyed by the ad before the videos, at least not any more than any normal ad.
I just made a thread because I didnt understand why they had so many ads about this. Now I know (because its not only a poll but a competition).

And Im sorry for posting a clone thread.
