Stupid feminism!I'll admit up front I was never a huge fan of Wonder Woman as she seemed more a vehicle for feminism than an actual hero
It gets in the way of the true vehicle that Wonder Women really is: BSDM!

You mean you liked Terry Moore's run better? Damn, that's a first. 0_o I mean, she wasn't Vaughn or even Whedon, but at least she didn't have plastic surgery zombies controlled by a shock jock.Queen Michael said:I absolutely loathe what kathryn Immonen did with Runaways. Fine they both can fly, so they theoretically never have to break that rule, giant monster bashing them into the ground not withstanding.rhizhim said:i just stopped reading from this point on.Torkuda said:"Super man and the martian are not men, they're aliens, what did you do, kick every male animal off the island too? you do know that NO MALES are allowed on Themiscyra.
yes, superman is male.
Yeah, but she did have these things:TakerFoxx said:You mean you liked Terry Moore's run better? What? You mean you don't like the fact that the GA suddenly decided to elect a sworn enemy who attempted genocide on Mon Calamarie a few decades ago to be their leader? Why ever would that bother you?Lovely Mixture said:Star Wars. Not even related to any of the prequel film bullshit or Lucas's constant revisions.
It's just the direction that Star Wars has gone after New Jedi Order.
Yeah! Lefty high five.Hero of Lime said:I hated that Link was right handed in the Wii version of Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword mainly because I am left handed myself. I vastly prefer the Gamecube version of Twilight Princess because he is still left handed in that version, though I think the consensus is that the Gamecube version is the better version anyway.
However now that Link seems to be left handed again in every new and upcoming game,(Link Between Worlds, Hyrule Warriors, Smash Bros. U) I think that old Zelda tradition is here to stay!
Oddly enough, it turns out it irked a lot of other Zelda fans too, even a bunch of right handed fans thought a right handed Link looked wrong.

Wait, they did what?
Pyramid Head has been promoted to Heather's personal bodyguard
THEY WHAT?
and Claudia hasn't just suddenly become the monster that killed Harry in SH 3 (who btw makes it out perfectly fine in the second movie), but also Vincent's mother.
At least they stayed the hell away from SH2. The games had a bonkers plot to begin with, but SH2 is something entirely different and I'm glad they had the good taste to not touch it.Chaosritter said:I absolutely hate the Silent Hill movies for not just outright ignoring the canon and making shit up, but also twisting existing characters and monsters and not giving a shit about symbolism.
Want some examples?

I also feel the pressing need to choke anyone who dares explaining anything from the games with stuff that happened in these shit movies. In fact I hate everything SH that was outsourced to western writers and studios. Fuck you, Konami!

Anyway, any of you have a similar experience of over reacting?
So, out of morbid curiousity Tanis, what torrid lusty pornography did you create or pay someone to create?Tanis said:Rule34, anything.
You liked your fandom so much you created porn of it for yourself, or you paid someone to make it for you.
Just...no.
come to think of it... those episodes annoyed me too.Gordon_4 said:You speaking as if Themiscyra was some kind of club, or a women's only gym. Themiscyra is a country, with laws as set down by Queen Hippolyta the ruler of the Amazons. A law to which you'll notice Diana said 'Yeah, screw that noise' and still brought Batman and co. to the island to fix the problem AND still accept exile. An action that hurt both mother and daughter deeply but as a leader, Hippolyta doesn't have the luxury of subverting the law because this time it's her own daughter that was affected.Torkuda said:There is a problem on Themiscyra, we have to save the day, but oh dear, it's Wondy's place, no boys allowed. And the whole two parter revolved around how to get around the "no men" rule that Themiscyra had and still get Wonder Woman back up from other members of her team. I was screaming at my TV possible solutions to this "problem" for half a hour. "Super man and the martian are not men, they're aliens, what did you do, kick every male animal off the island too? How does that even work?" or "Where the fuck is Hawk Girl? Why the hell doesn't she count?". Or, "This is BS, no one in the league was discriminating against Wonder Woman, why is it suddenly okay for her to discriminate against them? Reverse sexism is stupid, but even if you do argue for it, there had to be something to reverse in the first place!" or even "Why can't "girl power" episodes just naturally revolve around female characters instead of artificially finding ways to ban men from showing up?".

Plus they did a two parter prior to that, Fury (I think) with that honorary Amazon Aresia trying to kill all men with a pathogen, and she was then brought mentally undone with the knowledge (kept from her, a mistake of Hippolyta's) that were it not for the male ship captain, she would have died as a child. The whole point of that two part set was to basically point out that the philosophy of 'No Men' was stupid - but over a thousand years of tradition and insular philosophy doesn't change overnight.
Actually the Wonder Woman animated movie also did a good job of kicking the ideals in the arse too; and it ended with Diana becoming Themiscyra's ambassador to the world at large so that they may re-integrate to the rest of the modern world.
Did you think that they were trying to purposefully screw it up? Halo 4 was, of course, a very flawed game compared to the last Halo's. Even 343 admitted it AT LEAST two times. HOWEVER, to say that they did not do their best at the time with what they had (which was rather little for most of the development of the game, actually) is just wrong.Evonisia said:I take 343 Industries' complete butchering handling of the Halo series too seriously and I'll admit that. I don't think they're doing it on purpose, I think they're doing it because they're fans, and fans only care about doing the series 'justice'. For the most part they've messed up, and the only thing I'd say was done well was Cortana's rampancy (or at least how it's handled in Halo 4). Those god awful forerunner novels, the terminals in Anniversary and Halo 4 give me enough evidence to not trust them when they say "it'll get better".Arnoxthe1 said:The gaming "fandom" in general if I can get away with that. Well, I guess you can count two things I take too seriously now. Halo.
I also get kinda passionate about that :/ I think reject is the only valid option that makes any sense at all with regard to everything shepard stands for but thats a discussion for another matter. And since they fudged the refuse ending by making it so the NEXT cycle wins by picking one of the others anyway synthesis was my choice. Begrudgingly. I wanted a fourth option where, you know, all that "We can overcome our issues WITHOUT the use of giant god machines" wasnt totally proved wrong. The moral of ME3 people. The human spirit is weak and easily destroyed, only with the power of god machines can anyone be in a room for 3 seconds without stabbing eachother. Peace is impossible because we are all stupid and suck. Yayyy. Option 1 you murder all the AI to avoid the tricky notion of making a lasting peace. Option 2 you fuse with the AI, avoiding the need to overcome any differences by just fusing everyone into a conglomerate. Option 3 you enforce peace with giant god machines. There is NO option where, by merit of our own characters, we create peace DESPITE our differences. Which is EVERYTHING, fucking EVERYTHING, Shepard believed in. Its what I believed in :C He said we were strong enough to make our own path and create our own peace. And those endings proved him wrong. We arent strong enough, we are a bunch of warring animals and the star child is right. We are violent and cannot be trusted to control ourselves as long as people who are different exist. We needed help to destroy either the people, the differences or the sense we can fight without being destroyed. And that sucked. It made me very sad. The lesson i was learning throughout the series was empty and hollow. And the series did such a good job teaching the lesson of "Refuse the paths people build for you, build your own instead".Thomas Barnsley said:I get very passionate with discussions of Mass Effect 3s ending. I've never really seen it put like that. I'm glad that you've acknowledged that killing all the geth as a finite solution is a bad idea, something which most people disagree with. I also agree that rejection actually makes the most sense; not only that but I think it is actually the most elegant in a way. The final cinematic is well constructed and it feels quite realistic. Despite that, I still wouldn't so it because it basically sucks in the context of the game.BiscuitTrouser said:I also get kinda passionate about that :/ I think reject is the only valid option that makes any sense at all with regard to everything shepard stands for but thats a discussion for another matter.
