Ok, I'm going to start out by saying that flame wars are inevitable so be warned. Also, (I thought I'd just get it out here) all you people who talk about how much Nintendo 64 is better than the 360 are obviously lying. I've played Mario Kart 64 and compared it to Mario Kart Wii and you know what? Mario Kart Wii was much better. Graphics have improved, the controls are smoother, there are more added options, and you can have updates whenever you need them. Just because it came out a long time ago doesn't make it any better. Can you people give me any reasons why exactly the N64 was better?

I obviously like my 360 and that's really the only one I ever use. That and my PC.

It was better for it's day, if you know what I mean.
You can't use graphics, features and the like to compare consoles through 4 decades. because then the newer ones would win by default.
Not that I'm sure how one would proceed to compare them objectively, sp my list is based on how I feel about the consoles, how much fun I've had with them.

Nintendo 64 has a monstrous library of amazing games, one of the most unique (and strangely comfortable) controllers out there, and has been home to some of gaming's greatest. Goldeneye, Super Smash Bros, Mario 64, the list goes on.

As was mine. But seeing how it has the best game in existence on it, God of War 3, I think it is therefore the best game console of all time.

I've played Mario Kart 64 and compared it to Mario Kart Wii and you know what? Mario Kart Wii was much better. Hm, where to start? First, you can play against your friends WITHOUT the AI. The AI doesn't nuke you from last place constantly, tracks were more fun (subjective, I know...), no stupid "stunts," blue shells would hit racers on its way to first place, and most of all, wasn't designed with a casual audience in mind.

Go ahead and like the Wii Mario Kart as much as you want, but both Double-Dash and MKWii piss me off to no end. If I wanted a healthy, FUN challenge in a racing game, I would just go play F-Zero. Mario Kart's new theme is to punish players who actually play well. I will say I loved MKDS. Probably the best in the series for me.
