So, I recently bought a new iPod to fit the amount of music that I currently have. In doing so, I lost all of my plays that were on the old one.

When I realized this, I wanted to check what I was listening to most at this time (before, it was just a random assortment of anything and everything).

Funnily enough, the album Gospel has been out for about a month and I bought it I think a week after its release.

So, Escapist, I'm curious as to what your Top 25 looks like. Is it like mine and full of one or two artists that you simply cannot stop listening to? Or is it just a jumbled mess?

Pictures are nice, just be sure to spoiler them to preserve load times.

It consists of mostly Devin Townsend, Maximum the Hormone and Jeremy Soule with a few other various Japanese bands in there too >.>

#1 played song is Maximum the Hormone's self titled track with 98 plays.

Unfortunately, my play-counts are a complete mess. The combination of using glacial ambient (Sleep Research Facility) to drown out the noises of a college dorm, and a pretty extensive study of Chopin's preludes makes my musical tastes seem quite deep and philosophical.

I think my ipod, on the other hand, must be broken:

Although this isn't entirely accurate to what I'm listening to. When I'm at home, I usually listen to CDs through a great sound system.

Also, put on the glasses when reading.

Out of curiosity, why not just use 320kbps mp3 albums? It definitely makes organizing and playing music much easier. Even with a perfectly acceptable pair of Sennheiser HD-555's, there's no way to distinguish between 320kbps and FLAC during regular listening. I want to make it clear that this just my opinion, but it seems like it's about time you made the leap into the digital age.

Just as a piece of advice for screenshots, try using command+shift+4 next time.

I don't use any music player which tracks plays, but if I did, it'd look something like this...

Initial D - Noizy Tribe
Gunslinger Girl - Light Before We Land(OP)
Haruhi Suzumiya - Hare Hare Yukai
Lucky Star - Motteike! SERAFUKU!

Followed by... well, pretty much everything else in my "Favorites" folder.

It's less convenient for some people. I don't listen to anything on itunes unless I'm on my computer. I listen to CD's because I listen to music when I drive.

Ripping music is boring. (due to the quantity of music to be ripped)

Mine are all over the place, genre-wise. My play counts aren't nearly as high as some people's here, though, from the looks of it.

There's some rock, some post-rock, some metal, some country, some alternative, and the top played song is a contemporary piano piece.

Here's mine

I haven't been on iTunes for ages until today. That's of course not got anything to do with the update a while back that fucked my iTunes up.

Wow... Seems that a lot of people have a ton of plays. In the thousands? How is that possible!?
Note: I reset my iTunes and re-import everything every half a year due to the slow process of me editing all of my music file tags to my standards. I'm sure I could have hit that mark if I hadn't been doing this for the past three or four years.

Also, my picture is from my iPod. The plays I have of just Gospel and Suburbia, I've Given You All and Now I'm Nothing on my phone, computer, and vinyl copies probably total thirty or so plays each. I had forgotten to account for that.

I remember on my old desktop computer within the span of 2 or 3 hours I had listened to the DJ TOY remix of Passion by Hikaru Utada about 76 times.

I'm on windows on my mac right now so I can't check out my main playlist but

1: When you say you love me - Josh Groban (30 plays)
2: To Know My Enemy - The Last Samurai Soundtrack (24 plays)
3: Red Warrior - The Last Samurai Soundtrack (21 plays)
4: Going in Blind - P.O.D. (17 plays)
5: Taken - The Last Samurai Soundtrack (12 plays)
6: Idyll's End - The Last Samurai Soundtrack (11 plays)
7: Ronin - The Last Samurai Soundtrack (11 plays)
8: A Small Measure of Peace - The Last Samurai Soundtrack (11 plays)
9: Suicide Mission - Mass Effect 2 Soundtrack (10 plays)
10: A Way of Life - The Last Samurai Soundtrack (9 plays) I've listened to the same spot in this song so many times that it would probably beat everything on this list easily if the replaying of that spot was counted. 1:10 - 1:50 is the part I love most. It's all fantastic though.
11: Polyrhythm - Perfume (9 plays)
12: Requiem for a Dream (orchestral version) - Clint Mansell (8 plays)
13: The Best Thing - Perfume (7 plays)
14: Computer City - Perfume (6 plays)
