Before we start, I know I'm mixing Lisa Foiles and Zero Punctuation... Don't be a troll!

Anyway, I just wanted to know your guy's top 4 best and worst games of any generation. Please tell me what they are and why they are there. They don't need to be in any particular order, they don't even need to be a videogame, but just tell me why. I'll even start:

Best:
1. C.O.D: MW2: I just find this game really fun on multiplayer, and the campaign is great!
2. Naruto-Arena: I think it's pretty cool when you can take your fav. Naruto characters and beat up other people online.
3. Magic: The Gathering: People really don't know that this was the 1st CCG ever made! It is really engaging, and I find it really fun!

Worst:
1. Family Guy game: I will admit I like Family Guy, but the game is one of the worst I have ever seen. The graphics were horrid, and the gameplay itself made me want to tear me ears off in fustration!
2. Final Fantasy 7: Dirge of Cerberus: I like the plot itself, and the graphics were decent for a PS2 game, but the gameplay was just bad. It was the gameplay that made me hate this game.
3. Runescape: I used to LOVE this game, until it went retarded. The level up slope is IMMENSE, and most of the quests now adays just have you going back and forth on the map. Although I do like how they finally brought back the Wildy and the original free-trade.

So go forth, fellow Escapees, praise, rant and rave, but don't go trolling on me for what I put up. It is a matter of opinion; DEAL WITH IT!

Wasn't it 3?

Anyways,

Top 3:

1) Minecraft-as ENN said, combination of digital crack and lego
2) Gmod-See above
3) Serious Sam-Digital stupidity and fun
4) (cheating, I know) The Last Express-Beauty in video game form

Worst 3:

1) The You Testament-This holds the record for fastest removal from my hard drive, with the most anger, at about 35 seconds.
2) Open Season-Beat in an hour, and returned, saying it didn't work on my Xbox, got Serious Sam instead.
3) Serious Sam II-No. Bad. Why ruin the original, by removing EVERYTHING THAT WAS GOOD?!

EDIT: Where has ENN gone? I miss it now.

I've based this on the time I spend playing the game and times I replayed them.

Top 3:
1)Mass Effect Series (loved them both)

2)DA:O - The story was amazing and the gameplay was good.

3)KOTOR (I primarily, but II is easily the next runner up) - Same as DA:O

Worst 3:
1) Alpha Protocol - The fact that sega worked on it sent alarms off in my head, alarms which I regret I ignored.

2) Two Worlds - Sucked in every way I could imagine, I returned this game after 10 minutes of playing. Thank god I rented it.

3) Fallen Angel 2 - Voice acting was just so f@#$ing bad I couldn't take it, gameplay wise it didn't hold my attention for whatever reason.

Top 3:
1. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - I was a little late jumping onto the Bethesda bandwagon but given the sheer amount of hours I poured into Oblivion I'd have to place it in my top 3.
2. Dragon Age: Origins - What can I say, I'm a fan of RPGs. I stilled like DA2 but it just can't compete with Origins.
3. Halo 2 - Can't think of a more fun game to sit back and play with some friends - before they all turned into MW fan boys.

Bottom 3:
1. Two Worlds - I was told by a friend that this might satisfy the *ahem* occasional RPG urge that comes over me. They were wrong.
2. Fable 2 - I like a fool listened to all the hype this game was getting. I thought it'd be the perfect game for me. I was sorely disappointed and I still bought Fable 3. Won?t make that mistake again?
3. I can?t think of a third bad game? maybe one will come to me if I sleep on it.

1. LoZ OoT because it's always been my favorite.
2. Mass Effect, mostly 1 because I was more engaged with that one, but also 2.
3. FFVII. I played it for the first time recently, with almost no hype or influence, and I thought it was amazing. Not overrated at all.

1. The licensed Over the Hedge game. Played it at a friends house, now I REALLY know to stay away from licensed games.
2. Lost Planet 2. I just hated it.
3. Death Jr. whatever the subtitle was for the Wii. Nothing interesting at all.

Final Fantasy 7 - There is nothing I can say that hasn't already been said before.
Disgaea: Hour of Darkness - Stupid, grind-y fun. I love everything about this game.
Final Fantasy Tactics - Excellent story, characters, and system. Top class TBS game.

Bottom 3
Colosseum: Road to Freedom - Choppy controls, sad Gladiator knock-off, waste of a good item/weapon system.
Medical Mayhem - Worst. Facebook game. Evar.
Culdecept Saga - Excellent gameplay, HORRIBLE everything else.

Personal Favourite:
1. Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 (it's so good I sing a song I call "Best Game Ever" every time I open it to play it)
2. Assassin's Creed II (Brotherhood was disappointing, but AC2 was phenomenal)
3. Dark Cloud 2 (an oldie but a really, really goodie)

Personal Least-favourite:
1. Final Fantasy XIV (a game so bad that it pushed games back that had nothing to do with it, a game so bad that it made me lose dozens of friends, a game so bad it made me lose faith in MMO's)
2. World of Warcrap (I hate it so much, I'm not even capable of calling it by its original name, I wrote a 6500-word essay on how bad it sucks, and then a 3-verse song about how bad it sucks-- for like 6 years it was my least favourite game... and then XIV happened)
3. Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 Uprising (the expansion to my favourite game of all time was such a let-down it just had to make it on this list; they completely removed all of RA3's best features in place of frustratingly bad additions)

Top 3:
1. StarCraft: Brood Wars Loved this game and still play it casually today (although thats kind of hard to do :S) - StarCraft 2 is also on my Top 3, but I'll put it in with StarCraft to reduce me being redundant.
2. Battlefield 1942 One of the only FPS's I've ever enjoyed. The mods were simply insane for this game.
3. Left 4 Dead What's more fun they killing mind numbing amounts of Zombies?!

Bottom 3:
1. Call of Duty 4 Was lead on by the all the hype that surrounded this game and was throughly disappointed. I guess arcade style FPS's aren't for me..
2. Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 Uprising Was more a disappointment for me, since it removed all the good things from the original game.
3. Fallout 3 it was Oblivion with guns and the same boring textures.

I haven't been a gamer for as long as most everyone else here, but here are my current choices.

Top 3:
1. Metroid Prime. It's just... incredible.
2. Just Cause 2. Pure. Mindless. Awesome.
3. Assassin's Creed 2. Brotherhood was great, but creed 2 has one thing that brotherhood lacked. A wide variety of colour. Each city had it's own colour to it and just made it fantastic. Rome is all kinda the same colour and the city got a tad dull because of it.

Bottom 3:
3. CoD6: MW2. Let. Me. Turn. Off. The. FUCKING. Aim assist. That is the biggest problem with it. (OK, this is the only CoD game I've ever played and I will never play another one unless they get rid of this bullshit. Who knows, maybe they'll fix all of the other gameplay issues that only I seem to have noticed. Seriously people, even yahtzee said the damn thing was technically perfect. In reality, from a technical aspect, the game is shit.)
2. Fallout 3. No. This is not a joke. It was the most dull game ever made.
1. Metroid: Other M. There is no positive quality to it. It is bad in every possible aspect.

Top 3: Don't care and don't believe in rarifying the notion of one generic type of goodness.

Bottom 3:
E.T. for the Atari 2600
Pac-Man for the Atari 2600
Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing

All of which should never have existed.

1. Half-Life 1/2 - The game play is utterly sublime, and the story is better than any I've ever seen. Best experience one can have in video games.
2. ICO/Shadow of the Colossus - Way ahead of it's time, and for this, it suffered greatly; but these two games are, each by them self, more innovative than nearly everything on the market.
3. Counter-Strike 1.6 - Classic, strategic and fun team-based multiplayer. Online gaming at its finest.

Bottom
1. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 - Oh, Infinity Ward, where did you go wrong?. . . oh, multiplayer, that's where. Worst singleplayer and worst multiplayer of any game I've ever played, and I've played them all.
2. Halo 3 - Halo CE and 2 were fucking fantastic, but Halo 3 just sucked.
3. Mass Effect - Beyond boring; the shooting felt sluggish, and the story, while definitely there and very deep, did a terrible job at drawing me in.

Best games:
1. Sly Cooper 2: Band of Theives--I love the humor of the story, the creative designs of the levels, and how the quests, while the same grindy like quests, are always fun and imaginative
2. Fallout 3--While I love NV, FO3 gets my pick because the Capital Wasteland just seems so empty, yet at the same time is so full of wonder and packed with mystery. The fact that I can have played it 3 times and STILL want to keep playing says something (once I wake up tomorrow I'm playing on Very Hard using only Melee and Unarmed weapons, what what!)
3. Resident Evil 4--The game had a kinda silly story, an obnoxious support character, and the inability to run and shoot, yet I played it 20 times over and over, because exploding heads, gabbering midgets, and cheap but still freaky atmospheric scares made me enjoy the game (except the dogs in the FUCKING garden maze, I FUCKING HATE THAT PART!)

Worst Games:
1. Killzone 2--I put this game as worst because my experience was running and getting lost after a boring cutscene, then being bored trying to shoot strange blobs on a pretty landscape. Then giving my life's story to be told I have to join a cult club to play online in a game mode I had no idea what to play, so fuck you KZ2, fuck you
2. Star Wars: Rouge Squadron 2--The reason I put this on here was that the difficulty was fucking retarded. Now I'm not someone who doesn't mind a challenge (read my FO3 summary if you want to see a challenge), but when I have fucking INFINATE LIVES and I still can't figure out how to beat a level while looking at the "how to do it guid", there's something wrong, and I say FUCK YOU game
3. Bioshock--Before anyone starts saying "WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!?!?", let me clarify. I have hope that Bioshock could be a great game, and the first 15-30 minutes had the BEST opening I've ever seen in a game pretty much. However, it was when the atmospheric mood was lifted and Bioshock became a dull shooter that didn't give me enjoyment that I hated it. It went from amazing to dull, and it's THIS part of the game I didn't like. I hold out hope for the future of the game and I love the opening, but the loss of atmosphere killed my enjoyment for the game

My Top 3:
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - A true masterpiece of gaming by all accounts; story, graphics (for its time), art style, music, gameplay... I have no criticism of it whatsoever (except for that damn Water Temple...)
The Ace Attorney Games - I'm lumping the Phoenix Wright trilogy, Apollo Justice and Investigations under the same heading, because I can't choose a favorite among them. These games have done what few have been able to do: tell a compelling story, weaving them all together into one consistent continuity, with fantastic characterization, user-friendly gameplay and memorable art and music. They keep you on the edge of your seat without ever having the player hurt anyone in-game. The only violence is implied in the crimes you're solving. It's a great example of a solution to so many issues people have with gaming today.
Sonic 2 - I had a Genesis but not an SNES, and my family was late in getting a PC in our house, and didn't buy many games for it anyway, so I grew up with Sonic, and this pick reflects that as the Sonic game I spent most of my time on because it was just so darn fun. Many prefer Sonic 3 and Knuckles, but I personally like 2 better for its variety of zones, its greater challenge to 100% clear the game, and I think it has better music, a certain late celebrity's involvement in the Sonic 3 soundtrack notwithstanding.

Honorable mentions: Super Mario Bros. 3 - I HAD to play this game whenever I visited relatives who had an NES when I was a kid. Had I had an NES myself, this game would've likely knocked Sonic 2 off my Top 3, but it doesn't have enough nostalgia factor going for it - sorry!
Dragon Age: Origins - I like RPGs of any variety, and this is by far my favorite RPG. It has a great story and characters, I love the ability to interact with your party and build relationships with them that mean something, the mood and atmosphere are top-notch, the lore put into it shows a tremendous amount of effort to create a realistic world, and the gameplay options and ways to build a character are fantastic. Good work, Bioware! Haven't had a chance to play II yet, but I will at my earliest opportunity.

Bottom 3 (that I've played):
Halo 3 - *flame shield up* I will disclose my bias now: I. hate. FPS. But even within the shooter genre, and having played at least some of the first two Halo games in an attempt to appreciate shooters, I couldn't see, aside from taking Halo into the 360 graphical realm and adding in a few new shields, the ability to rip off turrets, and a big new hammer, any other real improvements on the Halo franchise the third installment brought. There was a clear, big jump between the original Halo and Halo 2, and I could see that right away in the first half-hour or so of play, but Halo 3 didn't really feel "new" to me. Oh, well.
LOTR: Conquest - A Battlefront clone, and a really bad one, at that. I actually liked Battlefront, and I'm a big LOTR nerd, so was really hoping that this would at least be somewhat good, but alas, it was not to be. There is nothing even resembling balance in the game. Why wouldn't you pick either Mage or Rogue for every mission? And if you get control of a main character, you win. Case closed. The multiplayer isn't even satisfying. The maps are too small and there's not enough going on within those small spaces to begin with. Overall, I am disappoint.
Earth Defense Force - Now, this game is just overall good campy fun that's great to play co-op with a friend, but you've gotta admit, as a game in itself, it sucks bad. It's one of those games that's so bad, it eclipses the realm of bad-ness and wraps back around to become good. It passes the fun test, but fails in every other aspect as a game, and in that way, it makes my bottom 3.

Dishonorable mention: Scribblenauts - SO. FRUSTRATING. Good concept, horrible controls. It's way too easy to repeat the same solution for so many maps. If you're going to have a game where we can use ANYTHING, make us use more than just a few things to clear the challenges! If Earth Defense Force wasn't so bad, this would have ended up in the third spot.
