Also, I played New Vegas for over 20 hours without a single crash or noticeable bug (meaning if there was one I didn't notice it), and therefore can simply not understand what everyone is complaining about (and I did get it on release day). Fallout 3 never crashed once for me, and that is on my very unstable and emotional PC. Same story for Oblivion, though in Oblivion the retarded NPC behavior did annoy me at times =p.
New Vegas, hmm.... I've had several crashes involving losing data, guns disappearing, falling through the world, enemies stuck in things, companions stuck in things, the list goes on.

Oh and not a bug, but really annoying: invisible walls.

But it's SUCH A GOOD GAME!!!

What you listed with Oblivion weren't even so much bugs as they were just unrefined gameplay elements.
This is true. What's more is I didn't have a problem with the stealth system. It certainly wasn't the best system, but it worked.
OT: Why does everyone complain about Fallout 3? I get it, it was buggy as hell on release day. But I didn't play it until there were a few patches, and I've never had any major problems with it.
Me, I've never played any games with major bugs. You see odd things in Morrowind. Like fish trying to swim on land.

Oh look! Another thread wanting to capitalize on New Vegas' buggy release and to ***** about Obsidian! What a surprise!

At least the game is playable. There are much buggier games, like the PC release of Force Unleashed.

If I remember properly Battlefield 2 on release, quite a lot of people had a bug where they couldn't find servers to play on. There was definitely a day-1 patch.

Then every major patch for that game always had issues that involved either re-patching from start or modifying files.

Age of Conan

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames ( they only released one patch for PC version and still loaded with bugs...)

Can we just have anything by Obsidian as one entry? Otherwise it'll just be "games by Obsidian".

I'd have to say that in terms of flawed (buggy) classics Vampire - Bloodlines is probably somewhere near the top of the list.

One of those games so buggy only community-made patches come close to getting it working.

5. Fallout 3 - let us complete the quests.
4. Alpha Protocol - Actually let people have the choice to play the way they want.
3. Fallout: New Vegas - Erm starting bugs?
2. Star Wars: TFU - A game that has a bug that stops you from doing secondary missions must be buggy.
1. Terminator Salvation - No terminator you don't have the ability to kill me when your dead already.

Possible addition to the list: Mass effect - Mr. Fantastic and freezing.

I never really had any problems with Fable 2 or 3.

New Vegas is easily the buggiest game I've ever played, though.

I am appalled at the lack of mention of Fallout 2.

Seriously, you do not know bugs if you did not play Fallout 2, it makes New Vegas seem glitch free.

(Only 1 guy mentioned Fallout 2, for shame).

I do believe I have a winner!

The Guild 2

How buggy is it? Most people cant install it.
Fewer can install the patches.
None will go without crashes.
ALL will get utterly depressed about the game and stop playing.

Oh yeah.. And it has multiplayer!.. But it cant be used!

GOTHIC 3, The buggiest game I have ever played. And with the longest loading times.

EDIT: Elemental War of Magic. Never expected a game ever to be this buggy or to lack so many of its features on release.....
