List here what you think are the top 5 best military powers and why. Please try to give a valid reason why and try NOT to turn this into MY COUNTRY IS BETTER THAN YOURS flamewar.
Without further ado here is my top 5:
1- United States: Without a doubt the strongest military. Has a massively elite Navy and Air force outnumbering other nations with fleet size. They have the largest military budget in the world topping over 600 billion US dollars(No other Nation tops 100 billion) and some of the most advanced technology. They also have a very well trained Army and Marines. 2nd most nukes in the world.
2- China: A superpower in the making. China is becoming more and more industiralized and more technological. They have a decent budget and a large army with many troops. Their Navy is also good but lacks Aircraft carriers and submarines. Their military definitely has more potential if they can get more funding to support their massive army.
3- Russia: Russia military strength has declined a bit since the Soviet Union collapsed. However their military continues to be strong but has some problems. The Russian Air force has the second most Air craft Fighters in the word next to the USA. Their Navy is sub par with a good number in submarines but lacking frigates and carriers. Their biggest strength is the fact they produce a massive amount of tanks. Another thing is their army is equipped with the AK-107 rifle and some parts of the military are forced to use old AK-47 ammo. That tells you that they are struggling in some parts of funding. Despite this Russia has the most Nukes in the world have about 2,000 more than the USA.(Many of them built during the cold war era)
4- United Kingdom: Despite it's size the UK has the third largest funded military in the world. They have a strong Navy and Air Force that keeps up its size with the likes of Russia despite Russia having a much larger population. Their Marines and foot soldiers are very well trained. Like any other super power, they have a substantial amount of nukes.
5- India: A country very similar to China military wise. Their budget is not impressive but they have a substantial amount of tanks, a decent sized naval fleet with submarines, and a decent amount of aircraft fighters. Like China they also have a very large army but have some funding problems due to their country still developing. India has a massive amount of potential to become a true military super power.
