In America, today is Independence Day. Since today is a traditional American outdoor barbecue day, I was wondering: what is your Top Five songs for a day like today? Extra points for flow.

I'd love to see you shove a full mix out of the topic, but I'll keep it simple for those who aren't as obsessed with thing like that (like I am).

Personally, my top five for an outdoor social event are:

That's pretty close to a mix I'd blast while driving on a gorgeous day. Plenty of affectionate parody and nerdcore rap, plus some decent punk rock.

Cheers for the mix! It was a nice mix of clever, chill, and unabashed nerdy fun (and nostalgia in the form of MF&GG and Green Day; those were songs I practically grew up with). I would've made specific shout outs to what I loved if it weren't the entire thing.

I'm reminded of my first summer mix ever, and I think you might appreciate a few of the recommendations from that mix:

It was literally the only CD I had in my new car when I was living in Florida for the first time, which is a summer experience that is nearly unrivaled.
