I know there are a few people who watch Top Gear dotted around this site.

Since Jonathon Ross has departed from the channel it would seem the BBC are struggling to find a show for the big names. Top Gear this evening featured Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise as the stars in the reasonably priced car.

Though the interview seemed longer and a little bit at odds with the usual show it seemed alright to me and their lap times were astonishing. I know that Clarkson only agreed to come back to Top Gear for the reboot those many years ago if he could have a chat show element in the program, I can see him pushing for more or perhaps his own show. I don't think an hour of Clarkson interviewing people would be particularly watchable personally.

What are your thoughts on Top Gear now being the primary chat show on the BBC and getting the big A listers and being more of a big show? Will it continue or do you think the Beep will get another solid chat show on the air with a new presenter?

Clarkson had a (very short-lived) chat show previously.

I think the BBC will "promote" Graham Norton to replace Jonathan Ross long-term.
