The best episode i've ever seen is probably where each of the 3 has to have a lorry and they have a series of challenges. Jeremy ends up setting his on fire, lol.

I know several people who disliked Jeremy Clarkson.. until they saw him interview Simon Cowell. Then they realised he's not really that bad, comparatively.
Personally, I like it even if it's just to laugh at them all. Clarkson is fairly clever, he just knows pretending to be a smug idiot sells very well. You can tell this if you watch it, some of the time he's a rational human being. But rational human beings are boring, so he's a smug twit the rest of the time.
EDIT: On the subject of the Stig's identity.. Wasn't that revealed by a Birmingham newspaper who recognised him at some Top Gear thing when he had his helmet off at some point, when the cameras weren't rolling. He's a Nascar driver from Birmingham, I think. Forget his name.
And I don't think they hide his identity to stop him being bribed, the show isn't that serious.. I think they hide his identity because a non-human, uber-driver Stig-creature is cool.

Huh. i didn't realise they were all called Top Gear. I knew they were like Top Gear but didn't realise they used the name. They even had the german presenters on the show at one point. At any rate they all copied the Brits so how or never...RavingPenguin said:

I like Top Gear though. The best moment is easily the one in the US where they are literally chased out of Alabama for painting slogans on each other's cars like 'man love rules', 'nascar sucks', 'Clinton for president', 'dixie sucks', etc...

Absolutely love Top Gear... James May is my favourite presenter, my favourite episode would have to be the first car-boat one (May won, hoorah!). Clarkson's okay so long as you don't take him too seriously, I do sometimes wonder if he believes his own bullshit too much at times.
And yes, as an Australian I deny that there ever was an Australian Top Gear... and if there was (there wasn't) its existence would have to be deleted from history... not that it existed. Or will continue to exist. Ahem.

The reason i'm so angry is because they take off the British version and put the Aussie version there instead of having 2 allotted time slots, assholes.
Oh, Top Gear, where to begin on such an excellent show.
Favourite episode has got to be well.. there's so many! But my favourite things they've done have go to be, The American trip, the Reliant Robin Space Shuttle, The Arctic trip and of course, who could forget Botswana?
